I was at my office when I heard "order cancelled" on my SRS
shares; TDAmeritrade had none to short; checking Interactive
Brokers, they had 500,000. So, before switching my account from TDA
to IB,
has anyone had problems
shorting SRS at IB?
Secondly, I also went long on URE; my backtest to Jan 1 shows a
2.77 profit factor, vs 4.48 on SRS. So using the same parameters,
URE is not as profitable as SRS, but not bad either-still tradeable
on a system.
Can't you keep TS, and just switch brokers? Donesn't TS have a
trading desk that can tell you what happened to your account? They
did when I had an account there. I switched to NinjaTrader to
execute trades on TDAmeritrade. I'm having some issues on the
Ameritrade side of things--works great in Sim, but the strategy
shuts down after the first round trip when I do a live trade.

TDAmeritrade only does stocks...they don't do futures; so
StrategyDesk won't pull up the ES futures. How do you like
StrategyDesk otherwise? I've been using NinjaTrader for charts and
trades on TDA. When I tried StrategyDesk it seemed more difficult
to use than NT, perhaps because I don't know it as well as NT. The
other thing I noticed was the backtest results weren't quite as
good as NT's. I didn't try to isolate the problem.

Are you still having trouble with TDA disconnects? I'm running
TD Ameritrade and Ninja together-- no disconnects since I upgraded
my DSL to a 6MB connection. Before I was running 1.5MB, and getting
several during the day.

For TDA SD, I searched the SD manual; nothing there about scaling in or out; If you ask SD support, let me know what you find out.
