I don't know about tradestation, but on TradingView there were
like 20 feeds for BTCUSD price last time I searched "BTC". All the
exchange providers you can think of plus some that I didn't
recognize. Try opening COINBASE and RobinHood at the same time and
check the BTC bid/ask on each at a single moment in time. It's
probably been 6 months since I've done it, but back then there was
more than a percent difference in the bid/ask between exchanges
(RobinHood has zero commissions, but it's not inexpensive...quite
the opposite).
you know the really stupid thing about Bitcoin futures - they
trade the same session as ES/NQ etc, which means they stop trading
at 5 pm on Friday and don't open again until Sunday 6 pm EVEN
THOUGH Bitcoin trades all weekend, and some of the bigger moves are
on the weekend!
not knowing that I had created some intra day bitcoin futures
KISS systems that I was planning to automate (72 min, 45 min, 60
min, 36 min) - then once I saw that I was like how stupid is that?
Even thought the stats look great on the Bitcoin futures system
that I created, the fact that it doesn't trade on weekend would
make me too nervous to trade those and be holding it over weekend
when it can't enter or exit

But how is that any different from the ES/NQ etc. which don't
trade over the weekend? I for one would like to have access to the
futures KISS for BTC and ETH

Why not just make the system for spot BTC (I use the
Coinbase BTC price feed on TradingView) and just make it clear that
the trigger and STS prices are going to exactly match the BTC
futures because of premium / volatility effects? The signals
would still be valid, IMO. When you give /ES signals, I
simply look at where the relative position of your STS on the /ES
chart and put it in the same general area of the chart for SPX or
SPY. (This suggestion is complete nonsense if your futures
systems algos are specific to futures / derivatives e.g. they
incorporate rules for volatility and/or volume levels
required for entry, etc)
I have that as well on the Bitcoin index itself. I won't
be adding those to the KISS section - I think the majority of
people will not be reacting to trade signals from Saturday night or
Sunday moring as they can trigger any time over night and on
weekends.

I turn off all tradingview alerts on the
weekends....except my longer time frame BTC and ETH alerts.
I'm also prepping to move out of the USA in March, so any
products that are available outside of regular US trading hours I'm
getting setup for more consistent use.

I'll be hopping around at first to see what works. My sister and
her husband teach at an academy in Bangkok...but that city is not
my cup of tea for longer term. Bali and Vietnam are top choices
going in. I lived in Singapore for 6 years but most of the
countries in that region have made it more challenging to settle in
for longer than a few months at a time. Still very feasible
in Bali (Indo) and Vietnam. Short flights to BKK.
