I always worried about this for years, but looks like they might
be finally enforcing this on
Stockcharts.com. Steve and I
both use the same account, have since 2007 because of the charts we
share.
This morning I see this message on all my Stockcharts images - I
cannot see any of my stockcharts stuff. That's going to hinder
greatly what I can post, I won't be able to post anything until
this gets resolved. Until we figure out a solution one of us
will be able to post while the other cannot.

I am not sure how many others here only subscribe to stockcharts
to get the url links - I certainly do - so they will loose out by
more than just you guys.
yeah guys - first off
Stockcharts.com admin sucks.
However this is part of a regulatory issue - NYSE contacted them to
enforce this so they don't have a choice. However I'm sure
NYSE didn't contact them this morning suddenly, they probably knew
it was coming weeks in advance and should have informed everyone
that this was coming ahead of time vs a big sudden surprise for
everyone. Next they appear to be even restricting charts on the
same computer where if you are logged into Stockcharts on Firefox
and Chrome, that's enough to get you blocked - to me that's BS
-they should use IP addresses or MACD addresses, you should be able
to view on the same computer. So I think they restricted to
browser vs MAC or IPA address which is just dumb.
but again the NYSE part is a regulator issue, so regardless some
change would be coming
I'm not a huge fan of sites that do this. At least they
should let someone share access with a limited number of people,
say 2-3 friends/family. Netflix and Amazon do this. My kids
would never be able to afford or watch any streaming without...

I wonder if Stockcharts could work something out, perhaps
whereby you pay for a 2nd subscription and they allow you to merge
them? I would ask, to see if they have any workarounds.
yeah disiple33 - that's basically what I just wrote - they
should have given that option right off OR.......god forbid let
everyone know this was coming a couple weeks in advance instead of
just shocking everyone with no communications what so ever

here is the message: "The stock exchanges do not allow us to
display official real time charts on more than one device/browser
at the same time. You can continue using your other device/browser
to access our system, however you cannot use this device again
until the 5 minute transition period has expired."
I sent this message to them - regulator fine, then give us the
option to PAY for multiple devices!!! That would satisfy the
exchange regulation, but not offering that option is
asinine
Hello I wrote you a few min ago but wanted follow follow up
again, regarding the message this morning on all my charts
displaying the message (dual device detected the Exchange does not
allow us to display official real time charts to more than one
device/browser at the same time).
I get that it's regulatory - however it seems like the
exchange is satisfied as long as each separate device is paid for.
So why can't you add a subscription option for paying for 2
devices or 3 devices? Yes it would cost me double or triple but I
don't care, cost is not an issue. I've been with you guys for
19 years! I rely on this stuff - give me the option to pay
for multiple browsers or devices please
thanks you and please get back with me. It's also crazy you
don't have a phone number after 20 years to actually talk to
someone
Stockcharts.com big issue for us

What they fail consider is, only those who pay stock charts can see the entire chart via the URL
Everyone who does not pay stockcharts via their own account only get the free version of the chart via URL
So anyone using your link, that can see the entire chart is paying stockcharts as well.
That needs to be explained to them.
Murph also uses chart links for his reports, and he works at stock charts.
Same deal. If you don't have an account you get free scaled down chart.
I am not sure how
