Figuring in the current single entry trade, which is still open
of course, my P/L turned positive today. This compared to SPY
ETF down 14.6% since 5 May, when I began using the system.
So, ok.
Thanks Matt. On the 60 min chart I see a lot of gapping
and S/R for this tight range going back two months. Of
course, we're trying to figure things out.
I didn't see the sticky note and didn't receive a BPT Live Alert
email to be on the lookout for a close above 127.93. It would
be helpful if buy and sell messages were always sent in email
form.
Tom-- I'm not clear how to navigate to this Help Section
(which is labeled New Member Info on the page itself.) How
does one find it from the main index, other than by the link in
this post?
I would prefer that posts on the Spy System board be limited to
information about the Spy System. Other chat is distracting,
and posts about other trading would seem more appropriate to the
community board. Hoping to keep this as simple as
possible.
With Fidelity you can easily authorize accounts for after hours
online trading over the phone. The Extended Trading Hours
option eliminates the stress of hoping you catch last minute SPY
Alert revisions, as SPY price bounces above and below a moving
target. In iffy last minute situations just place your trade
after the close when the Alert is clear.
What I meant was, on those days when it may be clear to system
operators that there is no possibility, whatsoever, of a buy or
sell signal being generated, it would a courtesy to subscribers if
a short email informed us of this so we could be untethered from
sitting at our computers at the close on those days. However,
for all I know this no-trade day situation may rarely or never
occur. It may be that the system is likely to trigger a trade
signal every trading day. To me the Spy System is a black
box. I don't know. It was just an idea I thought might
be beneficial to system subscribers.
On the issue of posting board civility, this resource can be as
good or as bad as the users' behavior. We set the bar.
I understand this is a user posting page for Spy System
customers. Sarcastic remarks from several BPT users, such as,
"...
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LEAVE MATT
ALONE! GET AN ENGLISH TUTOR!" and "...Maybe he could enter
the trade for you, too." are a disappointment. If this the
culture of this user community, I'll send my questions to BPT
privately.
I would appreciate a comment on this state message board
incivility from the operators.
Maybe I'm missing something simple, but what I see on the
Current Trade - Custom Alert tab may not be up to date. I
haven't heard that this is automatically refreshed by the
system. If this is so, great. If not, there is no
refresh button on the page. So the message could very well
not be current -- and this is not trivial information. A
browser refresh takes the user away from the Current Trade
page. Then, user must wait for the page to load, click Single
Entry tab, click Current Trade tab, just to see that nothing has
changed on the Custom Alert. I don't understand why others
find this exercise, especially if one is doing it multiple times in
expectation of a trade alert toward the market close. Please
tell me what to click, ONCE, to get the Current Trade message and
I'll be quite happy.
Also, I suggest that some contributors to this board give more
thought their civility. Hopefully, enough said.
If you could send an email to Spy System subscribers when you
know from the system that
there will be no buy or sell signal for the day, that would
be very helpful. To send the email as early as possible would
be most helpful.
I'm finding the postings informative. Keep up the good
work.
I think a manual REFRESH button for the website sections:
SPY Current Alert and
Trading Community: SPYwould be a real plus. As it
seems to me now, I'm never sure how to get the latest update for
these pieces of info. Hitting the browser refresh buttons
seem to take me to places I don't expect to go. So, I detour
to MEMBERS HOME, and then click down the path to what I had been
looking at in the first place -- which I assume was not current.
The interface could be a simple page button:
REFRESH Clicking this button would guarantee that the
subscriber is always looking at the latest info for these
pages. Better yet, put a refresh button on all pages that
don't refresh themselves when changes occur on the website.
Since I was in the middle of the subscription process on 5/5 I
missed out on taking the buy signal. Glad for this
opportunity to get on board with Spy System at this time.
Based on the Spy Trade Examples and Trade History I am very
optimistic.
Wishing Matt and family the best.
