Matt, I know AMD is

Posted by cozz101 on 5th of Jan 2021 at 04:00 pm

Matt, I know AMD is one of your favs. You haven't mentioned it since later December and now seems to be  in a little consolidation. Earnings are on 1/26. Can you add this to your KISS charts if you post a few in the next couple days? I traded SMH like you and made $ then got into AMD on the pullback.  Thanks

Please keeping posting these, they are very helpful. I just bought a little XLE for a trade noticing how close price was to the DVT and with the cycle buy. Put my stop in right away so not risking much.

Same with SMH because it looks like this has a nice pattern; AMD and AMAT kind of looking the same but I personally like to use etf's to mediate risk a little.

XLV looks like it's breaking out today too; hope it's for real  :)

Happy New Year!

Nice trade Matt; I took

Nice trade Matt; I took advantage of it...very happy :)

Sweet...I like the second one; has all the stuff I like to trade. This is really helpful!

Question on the DVT's; does the ex div amount play in? qqq goes ex-div today.  The dividend on qqq is not much (.4) but do the stops adjust for this?

Matt, being that SPY is

Matt, being that SPY is ex dividend today and may have something to do with the drop; how does that factor in with the DVTs?

One thing to keep in mind, many index funds go x-div this Friday.  Could be some buying to capture that too?

I agree, there is something for everyone here. I have had a lot of success with the SPY systems and also KISS systems! And I don't trade options, unless selling them; which is just my own preference... I like to keep it simple.

Matt & Steve have made almost too much available here for us to use.  Often times, I see the same patterns but it's nice to have a pro see triangles, pennants, wedges etc to confirm and give confirmation of my own observations.

I think if you don't have success using this site, you are probably afraid to pull the trigger on a trade! (and manage the trade once in  :)

Thanks Steve, we are getting close and will do!

Steve, can you put up

Posted by cozz101 on 5th of Nov 2020 at 01:50 pm

Steve, can you put up a chart of XLF? To me it looks very close to wanting to break out of the big long consolidation triangle you have been drawing. Thanks!

Thank you, very helpful...if you happen to see the reverse (a buy cycle later), please post.

It takes everything I have to buy back in at these levels even though this is probably a trend day and I should. Perhaps wait for a little pullback? There are 3 gaps below on SPY.

Please let us know if you see any cycle sells show up on the 15 min chart.

If we get buy signals

120 min KISS charts

If we get buy signals on these KISS charts it would be a nice way to re-enter the daily 401K KISS system if one were to have stopped out. I think you have said this before.

This is not to be taken as something to trade off of but what if the Dems sweep the Senate, House of Reps and Pres? Then the new stimulus would come very quickly; possibly even before Jan and could be for more.  If not before January, the market could still bank on the fact that it would happen in early next year. Combined with a possible vaccine around that timeframe, we could have a nice sustained rally.

Also, any reversal of tax cuts to corporations wouldn't take effect until 2022 under Dems.

Yes, I vote for that...I

SPY systems CCI trade did occur

Yes, I vote for that...I use TOS soley...nice platform!

I agree with timebandit...the systems are guidelines for us to trade our own way. It is very helpful to have the "heads up" email earlier in the day because it allows me to focus near the end of the day and look for an entry. I did so like 5 mins before the close on Friday and made an instant profit. I did sell in afterhours and happy with the trade. In this case, since CCI did trigger afterall, I will reenter the trade on Monday if we get another dip.

Its all meant as a guideline and not an exact science!
