SPY system update

Thanks, it gave me courage to pull the trigger even though I already knew I wanted too, LOL... I was watching the NYMO which was confirming the trade.

Question on the daily SPX KISS system: Are you staying long officially? I see the table looks like the trade is still open. I know it hit the first stop yesterday at 3304. And you made some newsletter comments about having it be our choice to follow that first stop or give it more room with the initial stop, which is 3209.

...and there she goes!

As Matt showed on the newsletter, the VIX went outside it's bollinger bands and may be coming back in. May be a short term warning of a pullback. Heaven knows we need a little breather!

I'm no expert but looks like a pennant and a cup & handle to me.

Nice chart; that's kind of how I'm reading it too but trading the wiggles along the way.

Wow, thank you; you have

Thanks Matt & Steve for your updates; legging back in to the IRA today. 15 min buy cycles and ABC pullbacks have been helpful!

I experienced an unusual trade

Posted by cozz101 on 28th of Sep 2020 at 05:36 pm

I experienced an unusual trade today when (not once but twice) a contingent order, I had in at Etrade, triggered when the QQQ price did not hit or even come within 3 points of my trigger price.  It bought QLD and in both cases, when I realized I owned it; I was able to make money but would never have intended to buy it at the price I did.

When I called Etrade, their response was (and I quote) "It looks like the price of QQQ reached your contingent price based on an order executed as part of rule 61 trade through exemptions. That means it could be an odd lot or intermarket sweep that executes and does not have to be based off the national best bid ask."

In this case, I made decent $ so not complaining but just scared to use contingent orders as it may not always work out so well. Has anyone else encountered this??

Thanks, it feels good...and definitely understand that the entry price will be off the bottom and not looking for perfect pricing just don't like expensive roller coaster rides like in Feb/March!! Appreciate your system

Thanks, that is very helpful to know what might trigger that dotted line! No worries on perfect pricing and yes, very happy stop was much higher...save mucho $

Just looking at this...is the big overall trend signal going to cash? The green turning? I know our stops have us in cash already, just wondering.
