Here is a chart of ATNF (180 Life Sciences Corp). This is
a microcap clinical stage biotech I have been following for
sometime. I came public through a SPAC. It has no significant
institutional following. It has no commercial products.. It
has one of the most distinguished medical and management teams I
know of. I own a significant amount of shares. I don't post much
here, but I've been a member for years. I always say that I'm not a
trader. I'm an investor. I've gotten a lot of actionable ideas here
over the years. I thought I'd share one that I like.
Take a look at the monthly chart of IWM. It is more elevated
above both its 50 and 200 month moving averages than ever before in
history. There is no trigger to short it yet, but it is sure on my
radar.
I am seeing H&S patterns on lots of tech stocks, and they
are deep like PYPL. Makes me wonder if we are in for a lot more
damage in these stocks and the QQQ. I have been reducing the size
of a lot of positions, but I haven't sold out entirely
Matt, I'm very sorry about the house. Flooding is no fun. It
happened to us in 2017. We had three feet of water in the fist
floor of our house. Everything was ruined. Good luck with the
repairs. I'm sure you know this but make sure you get everything
completely dried out and watch for mold. Best of luck to
you.
I realize that this is not an exciting trade, but I have been
slowly accumulating TBT, which rises as long term Treasury yields
rise. I see it as an investment and a good hedge for my equity
portfolio. Here is a multiyear chart.
Altimmune (ALT) breaking out of multi-month base. According to
Tipranks.comthere are 5 buy ratings
with average price target of $41.40 or 155% upside. I own
this from $12.45.
I would also like to thank Matt and Steve for all their hard
work and their excellent guidance. I've been a member since 2009,
which was certainly an interesting time to join. I've told the
community before that I am not a trader. I invest. I manage a
portfolio that is currently worth about $250 million. I have gotten
more actionable ideas from BBT over the years than any other source
I use. Actionable ideas are the key to a research service being
meaningful to me. No actionable ideas, no profits! Very Merry
Christmas to Matt, Steve, their families and to every member of the
BBT community.
I do consider gold stocks to be trading stocks. In my 30+ years
in the markets I have found only one reason to own gold, i.e., if
its going up. In my opinion you can't invest in gold stocks. But
when I do buy them I like to buy the best. I have recently opened
positions in FNV and BTG. I have owned both before.
As I've told the community several times, I am not a trader. I
own SDGR from lower levels and will continue to hold it. It is a
small position for me that I won't try to build on until the
insider selling ends. It is relentless, almost every day. I don't
understand it, given what's just happened to the company. If and
when it dries up I will build this position, or get stopped out at
some point because it didn't dry up!
Steve, you are so right about doing the due diligence on stocks
you buy or trade. I see so many trade ideas in the community. I
look at every post, every day. Each time I see a breakout I go and
check on the fundamentals and the analysis on each company. Often
the stocks are breaking out of a consolidation pattern into
uncharted price territory. In other words their breakouts come well
above any analyst price targets. Sometimes way above. I ignore
those since I am more an investor than trader. But I have gotten
many actionable ideas from stocks breaking out with plenty of room
to run up toward established price targets. I have paid for my
membership thousands and thousands of times over, and then some. It
pays to do your homework.
