I think folks get confused because they think of the multiple
systems as 1 absolute position in the market, or 1 absolute view of
market direction. Think of each individual system as just that.
They are independent of one another with different conditions, etc.
You have to manage each signal separately from the others. Since
they are mechanical in nature, you either have to trust the system
or not. When Matt/Steve say they are going to take half, etc. that
is a judgment call they are making to manage their money as they
see fit. You can do the same. It has no bearing on whether or not
the systems themselves are exiting. When Steve constantly says you
have to trade YOUR PLAN, all he means is that you may feel you made
enough profit or took enough of a loss to exit.

System question... If we get close enough to unchanged, there
may be an opportunity to take the system trade with options. What
strike/month would we look at?

Long Term Question: When all is said an done with this
downtrend over the 1-3 years (however long it takes), what
methodology can we use to determine the next hot sector? Matt &
Steve have indicated many times, that when a bull market ends, the
"leaders" of that trend will NOT be the leaders of the new uptrend.
What would be the best way to figure out the new leaders?

Brophy, I used Advanced Get for years when I was trading on the
floor of the Comex. The MOBs were incredibly accurate. Their Elliot
Wave count was also pretty good. Never been able to replicate the
MOB in Tradestation, and I have tried very hard :) Can't find a
good enough explanation of the indicator to work off of though. I'd
be happy to do the programming and share if anyone has the
parameters.
System Question... It seems the systems are all reversion to
mean based, and therefore, counter-trend. Are there any systems for
automated entry points that go with the trend? For arguments sake,
we can chart and plan entries to short on this retracement/bounce.
That's what all the technical analysis education is for, I
understand that. Are there any systematic trades for this as
well?
Matt & Steve... the system trades all revolve around
reversions to mean, correct? Is there anything common to most or
all of them? A similar Moving Average or some other reliable
factory you find works consistently?
I ask because I've been trying to work on some myself and seeing
as these systems have proven successful for so may years, I was
hoping you could share any tidbit of advice or knowledge.

What timeframe charts for ES are you folks finding most
effective? I've been experimenting with lower times like 1 and 3
minute, but there's so much noise that I don't see the value.
Thoughts?
