exactly my point - slight break of a trendline to me is non confirmation - it's a zone +/- some wiggle room. To me it's not enough of a break to confirm anything and in fact that's where you tend to get headfakes and reversals with amateur sellers shorting that only to get trapped

'A' amateur hr systems

Posted by matt on 15th of Mar 2023 at 11:37 am

here's a snapshot of the 'A' systems running on SPY 60 min, 30, 15, 10, 5, 3 min time frames.

you can see the long caught on the 5 and 3 min chart at the lows, then a quick short on the 3 min, and shorts yesterday on the other time frames.

I don't have the system working in Trading View otherwise I'd put it on a workspace and share that. I could simply make the workspace but with the indicator only, not the system

Amateur hr system

image shows the A system applied to a MESH23 time frames; 60 min, 30 min, 15, 10, 5, 3 min. You can see the A's caught shorts last night after 10:30 when ES was up 60 points, today the smaller time frames 5 and 3 min have done a few trades

here's some daily trade stats

A's system

Posted by matt on 10th of Mar 2023 at 02:16 pm

here's some daily trade stats on that 5 min UPRO A system. Not perfect but not horrible, 1 - 3 trades a day typically, some days you have a losing day of 200 or 1000, but then you get a string of nice winning days. Today would be up 1700.

again it's not a full fledged system, I simply converted the indicator that draws the A's Amateur  Hour , and buys or shorts based on that, and closes on a move above or below the 7 MA. no filters or other things added. I can add it to a 60 min chart, 15 min, 1 min, whatever

you don't know what the

STS KISS tables

Posted by matt on 12th of Jan 2023 at 12:39 pm

you don't know what the A's  are for? Been on the KISS charts from the newsletters for a couple of years, Amateur buying - tends to occur at end of light volume runups, or sell offs - often small buyers chasing tops after an extended move, or shorting/selling after an extended down move

the A's have been on the KISS SPX and QQQ charts from the newsletters for a couple years, for example see daily SPX KISS - note the A's last year - hence my joke don't be one of the A's, I gotta run

the A's are the best

the A's are the best inverse traders ever, who needs the VIX when you have the amateurs

STS tables

Posted by matt on 9th of Dec 2022 at 10:44 am

one thing I like doing is sorting the list for new A's generated. There were only 2 new A's yesterday on all the SPX 500 stocks, all Nasdaq 100's, and over 120 ETF's.

CI and MOH - meaning amateur buying, makes sense as CI is getting extended short term, MOH rallied into the 50 day and struggling some

Guys I Have Something Amazing To Show You

Posted by matt on 4th of Dec 2022 at 05:45 pm

a couple weeks ago I gave a video update on the KISS tables we are working on. I'm planning to do a new video update on them today, you are going to be amazed at what we've been able to add, and we are not finished yet either.

First off, we have tables for the top ETF's, all the Dow Jones 30 stocks, all the SPX 500 stocks, all the Nasdaq 100 stocks, and we've added additional things to the tables, even the popular 'A's amateur buys/sellers located on the far right. It's cool because you can see  sort the lists by any of the data from % price is away from the latest STS, how many consecutive one's there have been, and even by the A's. There's not a lot of the, for example on Friday MNST is the only stock in the Nasdaq 100 that has an A. In the SPX 500 there are only 4 stocks that have A's as of Friday's close.

HOWEVER the amazing feature is that we added LIVE CHARTS! In the tables you will see a Chart Link header column with View Chart in each one. Click on any of of them to see that chart with the current STS's and history. Play with the charts because you can zoom in or out and go back into the past.

These charts are NOT Tradestation charts. We purchased a 3rd party charting software and installed it on our server, which plot the charts, and the chart lists in Tradestation send data over to our charting software, which plots them!  This is cool shit.

Again, not completed yet, I would like to add a few indicators, such as the MA Ribbon, and maybe a MACD and ATR. But nothing more, I don't want tons of indicators mucking up the charts - they are VERY clean, I think you will agree.

Also, in the future we may even be able to give you the ability to set favorite stocks you are watching and have the website automatically alert you whenever there's a new STS or Demark, or A to your email.

here' you go play away - remember this is still in Beta! You will see the lists at the top left, and remember you can search by symbol from the far right search box

https://breakpointtrades.com/ts/sts.php?chart_group=SP_500

The A's are pretty good, Amateur buying at tops, and Amateur selling at lows. Basically it's volume declining and smaller size prints in volume as price goes up or down; for example in an uptrend when price gets exhausted, you get the late buyers, typically individuals who trade small size few hundred shares, not institutions who are large prints. During downtrends you get the very late sellers or shorts who are selling very oversold conditions

like anything it's not perfect, but it's a useful tool in the traders toolbox

New KISS tables - amazing work

Posted by matt on 24th of Nov 2022 at 09:05 pm

James outdid himself, here's KISS tables for all the Dow Jones 30 stocks, all the S&P 500 stocks, and all Nasdaq 100 stocks

furthermore, besides the current DVT, or STS - we have added  the Demark count, which is really cool - for example on the Dow 30 stocks I can see that IBM currently is at a Demark 13, that's useful and looks toppy to me here as well technically. If you look at the SPX there's two stocks that have a Demark 30 count, that's crazy. having the ability to quickly look up what Demark sequence that any Dow, SPX, Nasdaq stock is at is huge. I placed an image of IBM, you can see the doji candle, it's stretched. by the way IBM is up 16% for the year now, wow no bear market for that stock

you can sort by columns just clicking on the the header.

the symbol links to Yahoo Finance profile page

the other thing I would like to add is if there's an A, Amateur hour.

The last thing - and this one would be huge, James is going to try and tackle it but it won't be easy. We have found a couple of charting libaraies and will try and plot these STS stops, Demark, and other indicators.

here you go, play around with them. in addition to the Demark, the STS can be thought of as a smart trailing stop that one could use as a guide if they are long on of these 100s of stocks, and they dynamically adjust over time.  Realize that as a feature to the website these would be automatically updated each day

don't be one of the A's, we had all those A's on the 2hr, 1hr, 15 min- as the T-shirt reads - those amateur's were buying right at that top! also was a sell cycle there on the 15 min

showing the 4 time frames on SPX:

yesterday we had that Demark 9 on 1/2 day and 13 on the 130 min.

The 60 min had the amateur selling, which marked a nice low - price now logically stalling at the ATR here

KISS Daily charts

daily SPX and QQQ KISS charts, note the Demark 9. I also added the Amateur Hr indicator to the charts, which has been quite effective all year at those peaks you had A's show up.

What the A's Amateur buying basically shows you have declining volume with increasing price, so easy to understand why important. Overall the daily KISS trend has handled the market well

UUP KISS is the last chart, which basically went long way back in Aug 2021

has some amateur selling at

ES futures

Posted by matt on 23rd of Sep 2022 at 12:56 pm

has some amateur selling at the lows (it measures volume relative to price)

that setup occurred again twice

MACD KISS, Stoch OS

Posted by matt on 20th of Sep 2022 at 07:07 pm

that setup occurred again twice in after hrs on the 3 and 2 min charts for two objective short trades

again the first thing you look for is the MACD cross and initial price movement in that direction - that sets your trend. Since the MACD crossed down you assume the trend on that relative time frame is down, you look to take an objective short on a bounce - triggers are the 5/3 Stochastic getting overbought, and other things if they line up like cycles or amateur buying as you see on the 1 min time frame. You get your trigger off the low of one of the candlesticks. First target is the 5/3 Stochastic getting back oversold

KISS SPX charts - first off on the daily the ATR is a notable area. Also the BPT is pinching into the ribbons

on the 130 min we have some Amateur buying and a Demark 9 , and some amateur buying on 60 min
