mastermind- JPM did stop out yesterday - but remember the
standard stables work by showing the price the next day - all the
%G/L is computed assuming one took the next day's open price - so a
new trigger might show on a Monday, but the %G/L uses the next
day's open price - the same for the close - yesterday JMP closed
below the STS price so if following you could have closed out then
- or this morning -
basically later today when the tables update you will see JPM
closed out at today's open
Posted by mastermind on 21st of May 2024 at 01:31 pm
OK, now I'm confused. I have always seen stocks show up as red
on the day they close below the STS. I know that they close at the
next day's open, but the stop is still recorded on the day of the
violation, right? And I'm sure URA showed up as a new buy on Friday
because I bought some AH, but showed up again yesterday.

These issues are related, it's kind of a complicated reason, but
essentially the SPY data for some reason didn't update yesterday,
and that record is used as the master record for the table.
The rest of the queries look at the max date for the SPY
symbol, and then selects for all records that are newer or the same
age as the SPY record, as a result of the data being missing it's
pulling data that is newer or as old as Friday, instead of data
that is newer or as old as Monday. That's why you're seeing the
data jumping around depending on which record is pulled first. I
will update the SPY data which will resolve the current display
issue, but we clearly need something else in place beyond just
checking that record so that such a thing won't happen again.

After updating SPY data for Monday all of these inconcistencies
should be resolved for the moment, I'll put something in place to
make sure that it doesn't happen again.

Fellas any update on the Roll Out of the Kiss High Performance
System? Is there a ballpark eta 30 days, months, quarters or
a 2025 event? thanks.. Looking foward to the BIG
DAY
also guys stop focusing so much on that high performance systems
- the launch is not about that. They will be included but that's
not the whole point of all this, it's a whole package. I
worry that it creates sort of an anti climax
I have not built any new high performance versions in months -
there will probably be about 20 or so in there. Over time I'll add
more
otherwise the kiss section will come with free SMS messaging so
you will receive text alerts instead of only emails. The faster
time frames can and will trigger intra day, and so that's why SMS
is needed etc.
not sure about sending alerts on SMS to the daily and weekly
stuff though? the emails seem fine for those - plus, some of you
guys have a crazy amount of favorites saved, I see some of you guys
getting 20 and 30 symbols emailed to you daily - that's probably
overwhelming on a text message for something that is a daily and
weekly chart that is not as timely. see attached image - this
is the email alerts for one of the subscribers - you can see how
many of his favorites had change that day - sending a text message
like that is probably too much detail for a text - so email for
daily and weekly, non high performance, I think makes sense, and
ONLY reserve the text messages for high performance intra day
stuff
that attached email is one subscriber - what he received for
just one day only

thanks Matt, just to confirm....that attachment are the stocks
the user favorited on the kiss table and thus received the
attachment via which covers just one days updates?
that's awesome and yes I would think that would be a lot of text
messages to receive, however, I would want to be able to get the
important time sensitive texts. Would those be associated
with smaller time frames on charts?...of if a midday entry or exit
or sts adjustment occurs mid day?...I just recently signed up
for full membership but have been following and familiar with the
great work you guys do. I am just confirming the details of what
sounds like updates/new processes associated with the KISS stocks
we choose.

We are done with the technical work for the rollout, and are
finalizing changes to the subscription system. That will hopefully
be done later today, at which point Matt needs to shoot some
educational videos. Ideally it will all be live this week.

As an engineer, I want to acknowledge the hard work it takes to
put something like this together. Please offer some grace to
James and Matt. On the surface, it may seem "it just works"
but it doesn't work just like that. It takes a lot of
engineering craftsmanship and quality control to get there.
If this was rolled out prematurely, there would be thousands
of questions and it would end of being more of a distraction that a
value add so it'll happen when it happens. This community is
very much a family business and doesn't have the resources of big
tech that can throw hundreds of engineers at it.
Understood. Rookie mistake I guess.

Understood. Rookie mistake I guess. Thanks for checking anyway.
BTW, I was not expecting an answer right way. I was just reporting an observation to be added to the backlog for review later.
Last night, I figured the error was related to the system going through its update process.
I was using my home computer and tablet yesterday and I am using my work computer this morning.
