Hahahah...thanks, I had given  up finding it a few weeks ago but thanks Trendie:)

Thanks Steve, I was just thinking where the target should be.  What is your experience on how far back we should set stops and trail?   I want to protect from a shart decline but also don't want to lose much of what's been gained.    Thanks for all your guidance and mentorship, you have a great gift for this.

For the Thinkorswim platfomr the ticker symbol is $SPXA50R, I assume it is similar for others as well.  If you want other moving average data the 50 can be replaced by the moving average in which you are interested.

Thanks, much appreciated Matt

RE:  Gold Stocks.    based on what I have seen, it appears we have reached the supply zone (and maybe more), can someone comment on a pullback expectation.   I was in GDX early and took profits but waiting for a reversal to buy as well.

Yes, triple actual vs. estimated (.66 vs. .286).   I would have expected to see a better reaction from the market on this?

Short Selling Rout: 92% Of ETF Shorts Were Unprofitable In The Last Month

Great advice....thanks Glad.

It's a balance with experience.  The goal is profit and not to be stopped out too early so risk/reward.    I tend to look at prior lows and set a stop somewhere in that neighborhood to give it a wider berth to start (I bought 100 shares and have mine set at around 30.5 since that will set a loss at about $200 which is my comfort zone)  because I've been stopped out of stocks that tend to continue to run up higher with early dips.   I then watch it as it progresses based on channels and patterns.    I also like to look at the shorter time frames and watch behaviour.   Hope this helps but keep working at it and ask questions, if you are wondering others are as well.   I am in continual learning mode and it's useful for me to see others ask questions and see the responses.

Appropriate use of the dollar sign....Kudos

Matt, being newer to the site, I am having a hard time understanding the "trigger" definition.   I don't understand #3 - is that for the SPY and if so, how does one know a higher sell from a lower buy
