what makes BPT unique is that they DON'T do superchats and
behave like those Youtubers. like Matt mentioned in the past,
this site is like a family or community and that's what makes it
unique. if we are nickeled and dimed for asking questions....

if the site has too many users, having a moderator with links to
faqs or answered questions makes more sense than doing superchats.
I'm on some discord forums and that's what they do.

I don't even know why I posted that comment - I'm the guy here
pushing back in the past every time someone says "I would gladly
pay more for _____ on this site." It's not that it's super
expensive, it's just death by a thousand papercuts these days with
everything pushing towards subscription models. Even X
profiles are now trying to charge people on a monthly basis for the
privilege of reading their posts. It all adds up.
Remember back in the day when you could buy a forever version
of charting software, MS Office, etc? Not anymore. Everything is
subscription. Just found out that in order to remote start my
almost year old truck, I need to start paying $8 per month...the
subscription was only comped in the 1st year. It's out of
control.

A few years ago BMW started offering a subscription for heated
seats. Due to customer feedback they got rid of it. I will never
pay a subscription to use something that's already installed in the
car. I'd rather buy a donkey lol.

Now Toyota is in the game. I'd tell them to go fly a kite, but when it's snowing there's nothing better than remote start!
