Real Estate is a decent investment in a landlord friendly state or provinces. Canada is tenant friendly not landlord friendly. Tenants have 99% of the rights. They stop paying rent and the landlord will spend a minimum of 1 year or more tryting to evict. By that time landlord has lost thousands of dollars plus damage caused by tenants. And there's no repercussions against the tenants. Our Canadian government has put the homeless issue on the backs of struggling landlords.

My condolences Matt.

A few years ago BMW started offering a subscription for heated seats. Due to customer feedback they got rid of it. I will never pay a subscription to use something that's already installed in the car. I'd rather buy a donkey lol.

In the 90’s the saying

Posted by rollerblader on 15th of Feb 2023 at 10:03 pm

In the 90’s the saying here in Canada was ‘when your shoe shine guy starts giving you stock tips it’s time to get out’

The amount of videos I see on social media with young people (early 20’s) drawing charts tells me the same thing.

Anyone notice the alcohol behind her? Bet she's going through a few of those bottles a day.

Where do you live in Canada? I'm 20 miles outside of Toronto and my 2,200 square ft home was approximately $750,000. in 2017. Now even though the market has slow down I can still get 1.2 - 1.3 million.

Totally agree.  a year or so ago I mentioned to my son in law  whose involved in residential home building that these bidding wars and home prices going up 20% or more a year were eventually going to crash as well as the stock market. His answer was the same,,,'Nahh, times are different, we have 500,000 immigrants a year and a shortage of homes". I told him these prices were not sustainable. I remember the 1990's housing crash ( here in Canada). Same sh*t differant year. And look where we are now headed,,,Low low lower!

This is the second time

NINE follow up

This is the second time I've entered a short position in NINE. Entered early last week in the $9.35 area and still holding. That $8.11 - $8.20 area looked good for a cover had I not been distracted.

I've been short this puppy

NINE short follow up

Posted by rollerblader on 21st of Nov 2022 at 10:53 am

I've been short this puppy from the low $10.00's for a few weeks and just closed my position at $7.65. I placed a few more short orders this morning hoping I'd get a bounce and get filled but no luck. Nine just tanked straight down. If I may say one thing about BBT is that in the last 10 years since I've been a member the most important thing I've learned is to follow the charts. It's definitely saved my A$$ a few times. Thank you Matt and Steve for all the knowledge and time you put into this site.

Yup, he's looking for that

Yup, he's looking for that crystal ball with no risk and the guaranteed win rate. I think that's called a savings account earning you 1% yearly.

Up here in Toronto we peaked out in March and now are in correction mode. Average drop has been 20% but still way over priced imho. Unfortunately now in the downtown core there are bidding wars on rentals.

$408k is a deal. In the suburbs outside Toronto Canada price jumped from $770k 2 yrs ago to $1.3 - 1.5 million. Some have dropped a few hundred thousand  with rates up but still very unaffordable for a first time buyer. The 2008 U.S. housing crash will be hitting us in Canada soon.

All puts in the $2800. area  expiring tomorrow are up 500%.

PRED hit $7.00 in 2019 and now down to .005 . Was this a scam all along?

Incredible isn't it.

Why would the stock squeeze/pop

WISH follow up

Why would the stock squeeze/pop so much when the short interest is only 12% compared to when it was at 50+%? What am I missing here? I did have a few Jan/22 otm calls and just sold for 100+%

Is this the correct symbol as all I'm finding is the Canadian weed stock. Maybe the company name would be more helpful.

Yes, I've had the same problem in the Td Active Trader Platform.

Been a member on BBT

Posted by rollerblader on 24th of Dec 2020 at 12:14 pm

Been a member on BBT for 8 years now. Even though I haven't participated as much as I'd like to on trade ideas the education I've received from Matt and Steve as well as other members has be great. I'm not a very patient person and find that if I place a reasonable stop say 5% I usually get stopped out. If I don't place a stop I get tanked out...what to do what to do,,,lol. Oh well I did wake up to a nice surprise today. Had bought AVGR about a year ago at $1.18 only to see it tank to $0.27ish. Early November decided to buy more and bring my average price down to $0.37 Set a sell order for 1/2 my shares at $0.75 which got hit today. Now have 5,000 free shares to ride. Hope my luck continues in 2021. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
