GME BB AMC - Be Careful!
I know everyone is hot on these short squeezes but be careful.
The huge moves are halting the stocks and making options pricing
very sketchy, not to mention expensive. If you are trading
these with options, don't put up anything that you aren't willing
to take a 100% loss in. Case in point: AMC this
morning...
Tuesday Close: $4.96
Premarket High of $25.80
Weds Open: ~$20
eTrade did not price options (let alone process an order) until
9:47 (bid was listed at 0.00). By that point the stock was down to
the $16-17 range (still a nice gain due to the insane jump but a
little scary staring at a screen of zeros that long). AMC options
priced for 4 minutes and halted. And then 3 more mins before
another halt. All in, there were only a combined 7 minutes of
pricing/trading on options before 10am.
So if it hadn't been up a ridiculous 300%, that could have
turned into a loser. Plus your broker could always go down...
So think carefully about how you set up your trades because you may
not be able to get out of them very quickly.
A friend just texted me and said there is a Reddit article
circulating about the short of the century. Most of you here (esp.
Goldnice) might be able to guess what it is. Yes, SILVER !!I don't
have a link to the article but maybe someone can find it. Something
to keep our eyes on .
