Probably would have been worth a shot at the open for a low risk entry, even though we didn't technically trigger. Next time....

So much new stuff at BPT!

I've followed BPT for two decades and been a member for years. Admittedly, right now is probably a difficult time for a new member to join because BPT have added SO MANY new features in the last few months... it's a lot to handle, even for a veteran. The KISS system are still new and the KISS hi-perf Beta is fresh off the grill... still smoking hot! I'm not even touching that yet... still need to give it time to settle and figure out how I want to use it (or IF I want to use that). Guaranteed it wil pay dividends though.

Is everything perfect? No. But over time, the SPY System trades alone will pay for you membership for YEARS. Their regular trade ideas are just icing on the cake.
 
You need to put in the work too and learn how to best use what they offer. There's so much here at BPT (info, members) that you can't use it all, all the time. Take some time to figure what works and use it to make $$$. It will happen if you make a good plan and execute.

Lastly, Matt and Steve go on vacation less than most Presidents. They are here almost every single day providing amazing insights and even minute to minute feedback sometimes. That is invaluable and I haven't found anything that even comes close.

Dividend Plays - Added to my positions in   ARCC  and   ECC  on this sudden drop. I don't see technical or fundamental changes to justify the moves in those stocks. If it continues I will likely add more. LT Hold/Accumulate

AAPL - An Apple a day apparently working today...

Dividend Plays - I've done very nicely with many dividend stocks, thanks specifically to the dividend and DRIP investing. It's investing, not really trading. And I hold them in an IRA for tax purposes. 

I have a position of 1400 shares of which i only paid for 900 of the shares. 500 were reinvested dividends. So my true cost basis is on the 900 but my value is on 1400. I keep accruing dividends/stock and that total value creeps up nicely.

Barely even notice a 5% down day on these top movers... just a minor cost of making money in the market.

I do think yesterday's action was indicative of big (hedge funds) money moving around and potentially altering trend expectations on another timeline.

60Stoch- provided another great trade! Interestingly, if you trade this as an EOD indicator, you'll exit today but just might get a prelim re-entry signal. Another down day would certainly strengthen that signal.

Sounds like they'll need to buy more semis for those super computers... ha ha! Captain, we need more compute!!!

TSLA  touched the Dec '23 highs... ready to break out (ha ha ha!) or maybe form a handle?

OXLC - I've had great success with Oxford Lanein general. They have been operating CLOs for 15+ years. Been in OXLCP since 2021, rolled from a previous preferred.

I would stress these are buy and hold investments. You need to hold for the long run to collect enough of the recurring monthly dividends to add up. That's where you make the money, not on the price movement. You need to be comfortable holding through downturns and collecting the stock. 

Another one I like is Eagle Point Credit Companywhich pays around 16%. In it since 2021 as well and I think my holdings at this point are approaching 50% dividends, so deep in the money.

Semis - nice clean brake of the support.

Exactly. Looks like they ripped the last bandaid off the losers about 15 mins ago...

I imagine some funds are using this opportunity to take profits and adjust risk profiles for the quarter end.

Few of these have done very nicely for me. OXLCM(matures tomorrow effectively)
