I've discussed this before MACD Kiss setups, were the MACD lines
are very close, one can take a low risk long or short with a tight
stop. The concept is that the MACD lines either cross and you stop
out or bounce off each other and you have a nice trade
I have a scanner for that, very simple for
Stockcharts.comI can
share.
here's a couple I see right now, and I point out past trades on
those. Again you can work out a system for entering trades, I
can see two ways: One when the MACD lines are close enter a trade
with a tight stop, or 2. only look for examples where you get a
doji candle and then use that as a trigger, so that you either
trigger or not, and 3 if you look at a 60 min chart and see a
bullish pattern can enter early.
Here's the scanner - again it spits out a lot of stuff, so you
have to look through and pick only the best ones. You can simply
paste that into your Stockcharts scanner
[type = stock] AND [country = US] AND [Daily SMA(60,Daily
Volume) > 500000] AND [Daily SMA(60,Daily Close) > 5] AND [3
days ago Daily MACD Line(12,26,9,Daily Close) > 3 days ago Daily
MACD Signal(12,26,9,Daily Close)] AND [Daily MACD
Line(12,26,9,Daily Close) >= Daily MACD Signal(12,26,9,Daily
Close) * 1.1] AND [Yesterday's Daily MACD Line(12,26,9,Daily Close)
< 2 days ago Daily MACD Line(12,26,9,Daily Close)] AND [Daily
MACD Line(12,26,9,Daily Close) < Yesterday's Daily MACD
Line(12,26,9,Daily Close)] AND [2 days ago Daily MACD
Line(12,26,9,Daily Close) < 3 days ago Daily MACD
Line(12,26,9,Daily Close)]
thx matt for the scan as that will help. macd kiss is what
i saw on vtvt. probably could have entered at a better
breakpoint rather than buying when it broke out but not complaining
for sure.

For some reason this scan is not working well for me. I raised the volume to cut down on stock found and macd lines are not that close.
Thanks Matt for that scan
