C GS BAC scale-in, looking at WFC MS JPM

Financials

Posted by straws on 13th of Nov 2009 at 05:50 pm

Banks are weak, but Contrarian to all technical sentiment, I scaled into a few banks based on their being at the bottom of their uptrending channels that started in March and more recently from Nov 3.  I plan on adding more at the uptrend support and will exit on a break of either side of the long term channel.

Interested in the major widely traded banks C BAC GS, looking at adding WFC MS JPM

I agree, I have been completley paralyzed by the words "PULLBACK" and "OVERBOUGHT" since about March 15, 300 S&P points ago.

Doesn't that look like a very bullish RSI and postitive divergence in the MACD since Oct 2008?

viewing Newsletter and Nightly Updates?

Posted by straws on 14th of Jul 2009 at 08:50 am

Does anyone else have intermittant problems with losing the top control bar & the audio "PAUSE" button in Matt and Steve's nightly reports when paging down through the charts?  I like to pause the audio often to view a chart but often lose my place when the bug occurs.

Its a day to day thing, and I can't tell if its reports from Steve or Matt in their report preparation or a bug in my browser.   Steve's 7/13 update works fine but Matt's 7/12 newsletter did not.

There has been some churn

There has been some churn with JAVA lately, maybe that is the problem.

For Windows, they released update 13 a week or two ago and immediately followed it up with update 14.  It infuriates me that Sun Micro does such beta testing of these updates on the planet!

The VOLUME has really trailed off over the day, so what can that mean?  Can it be a slide into the close to continue the downward channel from last Thursday?

I have been drawing support

I have been drawing support and resistance lines all day around FAS & FAZ with an  eye towards a refilling of the gaps.  I assume that could or will  happen in a market pull back but it does bet against the trend.

Title: visa breakout

Ditto on holding the shorts, I sold all my longs last week in anticipation of THE pullback, ending up with the same results.

Meanwhile, I paid the rent with a few scalps in today's 1minute channels of FAS & FAZ.   Thanks everyone for what you teach me, including the hard lessons.
