Need to sometimes do a little spreadsheet work on my wife's
computer then send it over to mine to put into Excel. Rather than
buy Microsoft Office (she needs a Word type program too), I'm
looking into Open Office or the Google version (not sure if they
are different yet) -- anyone have any experience?
I have experience with MS Office, Open Office and Google
Docs. My favorite for simple documents and spreadsheets is
Google Docs. Your work is available anywhere you have an
internet connection and you can even sync with a computer and work
offline with Google Gears. Open office has more functionality
than Google Docs but I seldom need it.

OPEN OFFICE IS OUTSTANDING. Lets hope that Oracle buying SUN doesn't ruin it.
