unfortunately i can't post the chart/article. McClellan has a
great 'chart-in-focus' this week regarding spx 2009 vs gold
2013. best to go to his website to view the chart and the article.
i would just like the bell to ring when gold hits bottom.
The week after this Fridays
Triple Witching, the Dow has been DOWN 20 out of the last 22 years.
The last day of June has been down 15 of the last 21 for the Dow.
Historically, it pays off buying this weakness ahead of a strong
July. The first day of July has been up 19 of the last 23. July is
also the best month of the third quarter as well as the best month
of the year in the post-election year cycle. courtesy FBN

please keep those stock pics coming. as i've said b4, i can't
play 'em all, but the ones that fit my criteria pay their
way...
. now if this market would just go
down and stay down for a week.... guess that's either too much to
ask for, or i need to be careful what i wish for. Ben, you
listening???? Matt, you keep tempting me on gdx/gdxj, but
have yet to pull the trigger.....
rbreese, your thoughts make this site more dynamic, please
continue to provide your insight. sometimes 'tweet' like missives
come across rather blunt, aka not politically correct. been
there/done that let's move on...
fwiw, i find all of the choices of great interest. i for one
have my own criteria. when an idea is a fit, i research and
execute. i do not have the expertise let alone capital to play all
the ideas. i have been well rewarded for your (and bpt'ers)
efforts. kudos to Matt and Steve and the rest of the bpt'ers that
post.
Matt, obviously it's time to buy your daughter a tricycle. might
i suggest you take a lap or two on it?
, get well soon and be thankful it
was only your wrist.
agree market too hot! these big open gaps up are killers for
establishing a position. UFS was great example this am.
. only thing out there are gold stocks and i
hate catching falling knives.
The minutes from the most recent FOMC meeting, which
concluded on 1st May, reveal that "despite some softness in
recent economic data" "a number" of Fed officials "expressed
willingness to adjust the flow of purchases downward as early as
the June meeting",
albeit only if there was evidence of strong and sustained growth by
that time
.
still looking for the 'final purge', any thoughts or projections
how low they might go? oh, and thanks again Matt for convincing me
that selling GDXJ 16 puts was not a good idea a coupla months
back....
in his message of 5/10/13 Tom McClellan showed a chart
comparison of msft in 99/2000 vs apple today (can't figure out how
to post chart). even if it only rhymes this time around, the low
for apple is projected to be around early July, (give or take).
wonder if we see ~$300? then a tradeable bounce. we shall
see.
agreed. besides, once in retirement his speaking fees would drop
sharply if he took away the punchbowl before he left. gotta make
those millions in the first 2 years of retirement before he goes
back to teaching.
