I think the trade ideas Matt and Steve present are the best out
there as far as results, variety and quantity. I have been a
subscriber to 6 other news letters and none of them compare with
the amount of ideas. I don't trade them all, but for sure there's
always something interesting.
Thanks Matt and Steve and all the other contributors
It's hit and miss for me. Mostly it depends on how my day is
going on whether I get a chance to play catch-up on the forum. I
do, however, utilize the trade ideas and typically attempt to react
to the alerts when the pop up. Keep up the good work guys!
fwiw, i find all of the choices of great interest. i for one
have my own criteria. when an idea is a fit, i research and
execute. i do not have the expertise let alone capital to play all
the ideas. i have been well rewarded for your (and bpt'ers)
efforts. kudos to Matt and Steve and the rest of the bpt'ers that
post.
Dear Matt and Steve. IMHO, following are probable strong reasons
for subscribers not able to play Your Best trade Ideas:
1) You have too many trade ideas which not only takes more time
to analyse but also causes dilution, just like the Mutual Funds and
many other newsletters which have too many ideas and holdings which
creates dilution of portfolio. Better that you FOCUS on only your
Best 1 or 2 sectors and the Top 2 equities within that sector of
the Day/week/month/year.
2) Too many ideas leads to too much choice and too much analysis
which leads to paralysis.
3) Except for a few Clever subscribers, most are not at all near
your class of knowledge and experience to make apropriate
choices.
For these Clever ones you might want to list some more ideas if
you like and if you have the time. But IMHO again Your Focusing
will be more productive use of your own time and produce better
results and really help The Majority of All your subscribers also
to Focus with Fewer and Better Ideas.
My Humble suggestions:
1) FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS.
2) Identify The Best Index / Country/ Sector expected to make
the biggest move of the day / week / month / year.
To help Identify:
i) Choose only the ones which are nearing the end of wave 2, and
are ready to explode in wave 3. Choose the ones with the biggest
wave 1 (as corresponding wave 3 will be even bigger). For
this purpose, Maintain a Watchlist of those which have completed
the longest wave 1 and are in wave 2 correction patterns (this
would DEFINITLY and without any doubt help me to take better
decisions to pull The Trigger when the time is right).
ii) Choose one in wave 1 ONLY IF you have a Very
Strong and clear set-up like an Ending Diagonal (same as your
Bullish or Bearish wedges) ready to reverse with a vengeance.
iii) For equities, be wary of wave 4 set-ups which
are many times very complex and corresponding wave 5 could be a
sharp but a smaller move, AND one which reverses rapidly leaving
many subscribers caught with "light in deer's eyes" !
iv) Wave 5 can also be used for Precious metals and
commodities, as they usually have a longer extended and
stronger..read parabolic and very profitable wave 5.
3) Identify The Best ETF /leveraged ETF and The Best 1 or 2
Equities of 2) above..using the same EW principles.
From the above you now know that I am an EW
fan....for obvious reasons.
IMHO again, only EW gives the most confidence in trading when
used correctly.
Use it only when you have identified the correct waves with some
degree of confidence.. IF the waves are not clear, AVOID it. Go
find one which has. And IF you cannot find any, no problem. Stay
out of The market. One does not have to be IN the market every day.
In fact, some of The Most successful Investors / Traders in The
World do so with much fewer trades on average.
Use all other Standard Technical analysis and indicators, to
confirm The waves and use as triggers for entry and exits / Stop
losses.
In ending, you guys are doing a great job and providing
tremendous guidance.
And I greatly apreciate the fact that you want to have The BEST
Technical analysis website/newsletter ever published.
I hope that the above suggestions will take you one step further
in your quest for perfection. It sure will help me and to consider
a lifetime subscription and hopefully most others as well.

limitless, I couldn't disagree more strongly with most
everything you said. I like the variety of trade ideas, and usually
wish there were more. No one is asking you to play them all;
picking and choosing those that suit you and your trading style is
not terribly complicated or time-consuming.
And as for the value of EW as your principal basis for analyzing
trading ideas, well, suffice to say that's a subject on which
there's just a little disagreement out there...

Respectfully, I have been with them for years and they have made
a big difference in my education, trading, and investing.
Yes, there are lots of trade ideas, but they change over time as
opportunities and risks in the markets change. One of the
biggest lessons I have learned is to define the kind of trader or
investor I am (which is fundamentally is a swing investor).....so I
am patient. If by chance, my swing trade watch list syncs
with the BPT watch list, which for now is not including swing
trades due to the market risks, then I may pounce, more like a
short term trader.
So developing the capacity to analyze, change, monitor the
macro economics have helped me to do a much better job.
The BPT gentlemen are superior technical analysts and
educators. If they wanted to start their own hedge fund or or
start trading for others, their focus may be more in line with what
you are looking for based on your needs. Personally, they are
meeting my needs. Keep up the good work guys!

Honestly, Limitless, the BPT guys are best of breed and continually evolve.
