U.S. Auto Parts initiated with a Buy at Craig-Hallum
Craig-Hallum analyst Ryan Sigdahl initiated coverage of U.S. Auto
Parts with a Buy rating and $4 price target. Noting that U.S. Auto
Parts is in the early innings of an operational turnaround led by a
new management team, Sigdahl says he is seeing early signs of
success and expects meaningful margin expansion, a return to
revenue growth, and an upward re-rating of the stock from its
current 50% discount to peers.
PRTS - for those interested PRTS sold off as the largest fund
holder is liquidating their fund and distributing it's shares pro
rata to the investors in the fund. It will likely take a few
weeks to work through the overhang (have no idea how many of the
individuals will sell) but this is likely a good swing candidate
for those who have a longer time frame. Remember the company also
has a stock buyback in place and has $7 million in cash and no
debt. My guess is some institutions will be in the
marketplace to clean up in the coming weeks as this event creates
more liquidity. Not a short term play and best to scale
buy.
Regarding PRTS, I personally scaled out in late December
and January to allocate funds to other stocks after buying the
pullback last fall. My actions certainly don't preclude the
stock from going higher but I really don't have any more input. My
recent focus on the fundamental plays has been on GV (sold), TRCH
(sold) and WEYL (holding). I did buy back a few ERI shares this
week.

What's your view on PRTS? Worth a buy near 50? However, it seems to be capped by 200MA, and 50 is below 200.
