Here's a snapshot of the new watch list format that is
coming. Besides a new look, it will also have some bells and
whistles.
First off the volume % is calculated, this tells you if the
volume is good and you can quickly pick only the ones with the best
volume if you want.
Secondly, notice the alarms! Yes it's what it sounds like; I
will set price alerts (say 5 - 10 cents below the 'breakpoint' or
wherever I want) for breakout stocks, and an audio alert will
automatically signal you when the stock hits the early price
trigger, so that you can check it and decide if you want to take
action or not. It will be a
Female voice, yes
it will
actually talk, it
will say something like "WX alert, check the watch list". You
can turn off the alerts as well. Also, you don't have to
refresh the page, it will work automatically. Also when the alert
is hit, besides female voice, the row will also flash/blink.
Now here's the kicker, in order to make the alerts really
effective, we need to subscribe to real time data from the
exchange, we can't pull it off Google or Yahoo. It costs
quite a bit more than I though it would honestly. The point
is, we'll run a test for a while and if people like it, then we can
keep it, but in order to pay for the data feed, we will probably
add a small secondary add-on-membership for it, however it will be
very nominal fee, and you don't have to buy it. It will be
free for a month. Of course, we'll have to test this for a
while to work out the bugs, and we might test it for the first week
or two with delayed data to work those out.

As far as market data maybe you could check out Quote Media /Qoutestream for your data stream, might not be THAT much.
