I'm talking the Canadian Venture exchange miners with the tiny
market caps, that are basically poking holes in the ground.
Sometimes you can pick some phenomenal winners in that sector if
you catch the right stock making the right move. Last year of
course these stocks got mauled down to nothing but that has
presented some great opportunities if gold continues to rise over
the next few months. Recently I picked up both TMM.V
(actually a producer but still a small market cap) and MAD.V.
Both chart patterns look pretty good for right now. I'd be
interested if anyone has any other good picks in this sector!
If U3O8 can hold $40 and the US dollar breaks down further, I
would expect the small Uranium and the rare earth miners as
well as golds to really begin to move. Once we get the big fellas
out into new highs, the little ones will follow.
Yes, when gold stocks have a strong run, it's always the large
caps that rally hard first, and then finally the juniors come last
and rally hard. Many times you can buy a basket of these little
gold stocks and get sure enough you would have some of them pop 50%
or more, sometimes in a day. I do not keep a list of them
because there are so many of them, but if someone has a list of
them, please post them.

I have a couple of stored scans on Stockcharts that I run that
filter out some of the juniors based on market cap. Like
building a list of all of them under 25 million dollars and then
another list of ones between 25 million and 100 million. I
think there are at least 400-500 junior miners listed on the
venture exchange.
I play alot of them and one of my favourites is Plexmar
Resources(PLE.V) however it is in standstill waiting for a social
license from the local communities in Peru......They have alot of
gold just can't get at it yet but as early as this month they may
get the approval and can advance to drilling.......Same geological
corridor as Aurelian Resources.....You know, one of the biggest
gold deposits found in recent memory......share price went
ballistic when drill results came out.......anyways, high risk but
high reward potentially with this one as with many others on the
Venture.......either way if gold goes parabolic they all will do
well in a mania phase which I am counting on.
Scorpio Mining is rare gem and my favourite up and coming silver
producer in Mexico.....This one will be a high flyer in the years
ahead.....no doubt about it.....SPM.TO

I had a PLE.V position a while back but got out of it...but yeah
I'm aware of the fundamentals there, if like you said they get
anywhere with the locals it could start moving...probably a good
one to watch and see if it starts taking volume
