NVDA - I posted this response to someone else's bullish take
yesterday afternoon. My post got 1000's of views, but not a single
like, while the bullish post got 287 likes. The world is full of
perma bulls
Digi: But what about the lower Bollinger Band play
(enter low of day within 1% of lower BB) you posted recently for
NVDA? That play would have triggered entry on the 4/9 close,
and would still be active since still above the 5% S/L.
Curious on the thinking as to why that's not the preferred play
here? thx S

NVDA - that post about the boll band % system came more because
I've been spending a lot of time working on systems and thought it
was interesting as something to plug into an auto trade type set up
going forward after more testing and in the right environment
(bullish overall trend to start). I wasn't actually bullish on
NVDA. Sorry, I should have been more clear...especially with the
one stock to rule all stocks
That said, I'll often start bullish on
something and turn my chart sideways and upside down, look at it
every which way, and end up bearish. That definitely also happened
in this case.
nice that you are getting into systems - it can also be very
addicting LOL
but also, once you have your logic coded and working, then you
can actually see statistics how your method has worked, vs just
seeing subjective recent signals, which to me is important - gives
me more conviction to take the trades if I know the stats are good,
vs just seeing something recently on a chart that looks like it
might be a strategy.

I've always wanted to get into systems but time was a major
barrier to entry. Generative AI basically blew all my excuses out
of the water - it does most of the initial work. I just tweak.
I think I posted the stats for the NVDA bol band system. They
were good....but of course they were - the stock has been a multi
year monster and probably will continue to be. That said - it's
definitely in law of large numbers territory now and analysts are
expecting decelerating earnings either later this year or the year
after (I forget which) as competition ramps up. Every big winner
eventually gets whacked back down to normie range - APPL has
taken a few long breaks over the years, GOOG, AMZN,TSLA, MSFT (why
do you think they call it softie?), etc - no one escapes the
eventual fall from cult stock status.
I think one needs to be confident of their own work/systems. I
have about a dozen proprietary systems running that I like to see
confirm each other, at least within a day or 2.
