The COVID election cycle doesn't count, for obvious reasons - but look back at pharma and biotech starting about now in previous election cycles.

    yeah I'm not sure what relevance that has to anything here. The gains that year were not drastically different from the other years. And what am I supposed to do, just not show the year, or adjust some setting because of Covid? nah .

    You don't see the relevance of the idea of discarding the COVID period when analyzing the standard election cycle performance of the pharma and biotech sectors?  Really?  We might have been in different dimensions for a while then...some kind of quantum snafu or something. I remember that those sectors went from the most embattled in a standard election cycle to the most revered and the most funded in the history of...probably the history of the world...until it all came crashing down again (PFE). We threw more money at pharma during that election cycle than we did into weapons and machinery to fight Hitler in the 1940's.  But that's just the way I remember it...I was a bit distressed by the madness of the whole thing so maybe I'm mistaken.
