I think it was a stop run and not really news related, but who
knows. I used it as a chance to go long IWM. (I know I said I was
done for the week, but oh well)

The market will start caring more and more about the various
swings in voter sentiment and candidates fortunes as we get closer
to November. That's why I'm leaving...at least for a while. Can't
stand prez election years.
I do think the market might prefer Biden over Trump for purely
mechanical reasons. Both are massive deficit spenders, but on the
margin Biden blows away Trump in spending. Market isn't political,
it just votes for liquidity, whether it's debt and deficit fueled
or not.... doesn't matter to the market.
