Trading View chart for you: Cycles and ribbons on 8 time frames

Posted by matt on 13th of Dec 2023 at 11:16 am

If you listended to or watched my newsletter from last night, one thing I discussed was the cycle indicator: I said whenever you see price following the cycle over and over multiple times basically ping ponging between them, that is something that is very notable because it confirms the consolidation pattern and you simply wait for price to eventually break one of those cycles to signal a breakout or break down and wave 3.

notice on my far right bottom chart you have this occuring right now on the 5 min ES/MES chart. What I do is look at  multiple time frames and try to find where this is occuring the3n take a trade. I took a short a few min ago on that resistance cycle - and I'll wait for price to eventually break one of these cycles for my next trade. And here's the URL where you can place this on a monitor to monitor it (pun)

here's the exact time I discuss that cycle behavior on Youtube Video, https://youtu.be/ivBVF_m8j88?t=783

    When I open the link

When I open the link in TradingView, I am unable to see the ribbons on the bottom.  Are there any tricks or settings I need to be aware of?

    it's because you either don't

it's because you either don't have an account or your account doesn't allow more than a certain number of indicators to be displayed. Trading View tries to nickel and dime you by charging you more for using greater than a few indicators on the chart at one time.  Look at the error message it gives you it states:   Study Error, the maximum number of studies per chart has been reached

I placed the link into a browser I'm not logged into and I see the chart with the cycles, volume, demark, and A indicator but it's not displaying the ribbons again it gives the error of max number of studies

I could remove one of the inicators like the A's and Demark and the MA ribon would show, but at the end of the day I don't really agree with making the charts worse by reducing indicators for people who don't have subs. Otherwise the main thing about the chart is the cycles seeing it on multi time frames at a glance, and that you can see

    you can see price fell

you can see price fell below that 5 min support cycle

but again FOMC in 40 min

    TradingView got me with the

TradingView got me with the alerts. I can live without so many indicators but once I started setting a lot of complex alerts (mostly alerts on strategies) it required upgrading all the way to "Premium" to get "open ended" alerts.  Again, you don't have to have open ended alerts, but having to reset alerts every month that were designed to catch things that may only happen a couple times per year is not my idea of operating efficiently.

Ah super helpful.   I think I'll subscribe to TradingView.  Having these indicators in one glance is informative.  TradingView should really compensate you for sending people their way.  Is there a referral code we can use that would give you credits or something like that?
