NVDA and others chip manufacturers are a case of musical chairs,
from my perspective. The hyper scaler tech companies are
essentially nation states at this point given the amount of cash
flow they generate and cash on balance sheets. They simply haven't
and won't put up with paying other companies for critical
components for long....they will all be producing their own AI
chips sooner or later.
This battle for chips reminds me a little of the brief few
months where Microsoft convinced the world they were somehow the
dominant AI player. Then Google took the wraps off yesterday and
today and blew them out of the water (search "Gemini" on YouTube
and then filter by Google releases). Now Microsoft is back to being
the company that created BING...the worst search engine ever...and
hasn't innovated internally in many years.

Maybe. But I dare them to try to develop the memory chips that
are needed that a company like Micron provides. Then again, they
don't pay as much of a premium for memory chips, so not as much
incentive anyway.
