looks like the SPY bear long missed by a few pennies from
triggering LOL, I mean literally pennies, SPY closed at 408.01, if
it had closed at 407.98 it would have triggered LOL
that's the thing about systems guys - things are exact, there's
no wiggle room like in subjective trading, there's a line you have
to be over or not over
For what it's worth, I would prefer one clear and concise
message just after the close (when a system takes a trade or closes
one out)...rather than a series of email notices or postings that
give a heads up of a "possible trade" coming. Seems
reasonable knowing the ETF's trade for several hours after the
close.
Doing it that way puts the responsibility on each subscriber to
check in at 4:00pm, and limits the amount of comments you feel
compelled to respond to. Today in particular I found the system
trade comments in the trading community quite a distraction (all
for nought, I might add). A lot of unnecessary back and forth as it
turned out.
I do not agree it is a distraction. My trade plan is to enter on
any such early e-mail notice. Often it gives me a very good trade
into the end of the day. Keep doing what you are doing Matt, it
works for many of us.
that said, Friday trades are weird for ES because of the way the
exchange adjusts the prices at times. I've seen cases where there
is a Friday trade, and then once you reopen the charts on a Sunday
it's no longer there, or vice versa no trade shows up on Friday but
then you see it there on Monday because of some data
readjustment
Matt, will you be around to give the go/no-go on the Bear Long
ES trade. I know you had to go help your Dad; so, if not
available, no problem....just wanted to know.

Matt, is /ES no longer

Matt, is /ES no longer triggering either? The best trades are those where only one side (SPY or ES) has triggered :-)
I don't see it but

I don't see it but it doesn't close for almost an hr
Matt, will you be around
