the bear long is meeting conditions for a 1st entry on SPY and
ES
the open DVDS short on ES, I'm looking to exit that at any time.
I've made a newer version of the system that is better, has less
draw downs, it has not yet hit its exit conditions (it's close and
could be within a day). That said, I don't think it makes sense to
hold the trade through a case where the market rallied back to the
highs, thus some sort of stop or manual exit makes sense in that
case should the system not exit before the market is ready to rally
back
I have to check my new SPY bear long next bar open to see if any
trades are being generated there. If there is, that would enter the
trade on Monday morning since it's next bar open

I didn't say that. I said I need to check the next bar open versions I made to see if they are also triggering. The original close bar is triggering.
for the next bar open version I used different settings than I use for the original close bar version and so it may not be triggering
