well, they are not huge profits - but I was confident that the systems would get the opportunity to get out instead of getting trapped in a further uptrend. 

those short systems are very aggressive at getting out. They miss bigger moves but they don't get into trouble. When I ran all my backtests, with shorts I've discussed this before, everyone thinks it is so easy to be short, but in fact shorts are the hardest to perfect with the systems.  Even in bear like markets, you can easily get caught short in some rip your face off rally or strong move that lasts 1 or 2 months - I had to make a lot of these reversion to mean shorts act pretty aggressively to avoid those. I'm more risk averse, vs trying to catch the trades with the biggest moves.  I have versions of the Hi Mid Low and QE short that catch bigger trending moves, but they are also more prone to to getting caught in some stronger bounce - to me it's easier for the website to just hit singles with some of these short systems, vs trying to hit home runs
