I've discussed this in the past, though I believe at some point
we will see all the broker sites lock up and investors have no
access. This will cause a panic as the sites will be down for the
better part of a day or days. No idea of the timing, though I think
the "wonky" performance of some of the sites is just the beginning.
Especially now that a lot of firms downsized, you can't even call
in and get customer service. It will be very long wait times.
Remember I talked about this, we will see it happen at some
point.

Broker Sites - I also think we could see a major service
interruption caused in part by a blowout move. I have stops in
place on my trades & holdings just in case. Hopefully trade
execution will be ok and if it will just be my access to the broker
that fails. I anticipate that open trades will be executed even if
I can't log in... but if individual stocks get halted there is not
a lot to do.

I agree. I trade futures with E*TRADE and the prices have been locking all day. Big problem when you are trading futures in a fast moving market.
