    the reason why I have

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 04:16 pm

the reason why I have multiple reversion to the mean SPY systems is because sometimes the other SPY systems will enter later or at better prices or catch trades the SPY Pro doesn't, thus if you trade all the systems, you get to average in some.  again again never put 100% of your capital into any system trade or systems.

    correction typo - the SPY

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 04:28 pm

correction typo - the SPY Ver 2 system did not take a long and remains in cash, the SPY RSI 2 did

    right now the SPY Ver

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 03:48 pm

right now the SPY Ver 2 system is trade signal went away, it's gonna be hit or miss here, if the market closed here it won't take a trade, if it closes down again it will.  The conditions are still met for the SPY RSI 2 and Pro systems.

again best to confirm at the close since SPY is liquid as hell

    it takes about 2 min

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 04:05 pm

it takes about 2 min for SPY to finalize after the close for TS before my system gives the official results, so here you go:

Here's the final notification for the SPY systems.

    - The SPY Pro system, went long at the close

    - The SPY Ver 2 system, went long at the close 60% position.

    - The SPY RSI 2 system, no trade did not go long.

I will update the trade list on the website shortly.

Why is the exhaustion short from Thursday added to SPY Pro?

Posted by zpbsfg on 13th of Mar 2014 at 04:50 pm

I thought you made the call that the SPY Pro was not going to officially take the short on Thursday, so it seems kind of incorrect, statistically speaking, that the trade is included in the trade history...?

    because as I stated previously,

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 05:59 pm

because as I stated previously, because that exhaustion trade worked well, I adjusted my settings to allow that trade for the SPY system in the future.  I don't care about past trades, I care about the system trades going forward, which is what you guys should care about as well.

lower priced substitute for SPY long?

    I use UPRO

is upro liquid after hours ?

Posted by mohane on 13th of Mar 2014 at 08:42 pm

    it wouldn't be as liquid

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 10:35 pm

it wouldn't be as liquid in after hrs, and also best to stay around from these triple levered ETF's unless you are keeping the position size small, don't max out with those things.

    Yes. Not nearly as liquid

Posted by zpbsfg on 13th of Mar 2014 at 09:11 pm

Yes. Not nearly as liquid as SPY, but pretty liquid.

    I use the Canadian etf

Posted by cal1 on 13th of Mar 2014 at 04:01 pm

I use the Canadian etf double long HSU.TO for longs and HSD.TO for shorts.

    SCHX, tracks well.

Matt, What SPX Price would cause

Posted by jdeen on 13th of Mar 2014 at 03:13 pm

    Matt,

What SPX Price would cause the SPY Pro system take a long?

    I don't know, all I

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 03:20 pm

I don't know, all I know is the indicators that need to be a certain levels and from that it's not always easy to extrapolate what the price SPY would be if an indicator was at X level.

the SPY RSI 2 system needs the RSI 2 to be below 10%.  I have filters for this system but they are not being triggered today, so whatever price that is, you could probably extrapolate it

SPY Ver 2 and Pro system will most likely take positions.

DVY RSI 2 system is still long from Jan 27th and not going to sell yet

also we are establishing a relationship with Ditto trader for those who want to have the trades executed for them automatically, even in after hrs trading

    how about the bpt ma

how about the bpt ma deluxe daily?

    still green

Posted by jgoot on 13th of Mar 2014 at 01:49 pm

    still green

    the 60 min is about

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 02:58 pm

the 60 min is about to turn red on the 60 min, it's flipping back and forth between green and red and so if we go lower and stay it will turn red, but if we bounce it will stay green.  And this is on SPY, it's probably different on other ETF's.

The daily is still green.  Remember the indicator reacts much faster on the long side because sell signals are much more difficult.  Many times by the time it turns red the market is oversold short term and better to wait for a bounce.  Too many of you guys want a 100% turn key solution holy grail, but you should always use some common sense and other indicators/analysis with it

    Actually my thoughts are if

Actually my thoughts are if the daily stays green it would support taking a long position here, fwiw.

    so or example at the

Posted by matt on 13th of Mar 2014 at 03:15 pm

so or example at the moment the BPT MA Deluxe on the 60 min is red, however 14 and 60 stochastics are oversold, so does it make sense to short now? maybe it goes lower on momentum but risk/reward is not good and thus better to wait for a bounce.  Also the daily is still green for now
