SPY trade comments

If the market were to turn around and sell off, and close below today's the lows, the system would close out it's short trade.  As of now the market has bounced from the lows, we will send out a notification later in the day if the market weakens

Since I don't see any new post on this topic, I'm assuming the same rules apply to todays current 1.5% drop, that an exit will probably be likely at the close? Please give some guidance?

    I am not sure if

I am not sure if I understand your post properly but you should never assume there is a trade unless you receive an alert and see a posted alert dated today in the SPY Section.  There is no trade today.

    I have the same question.

I have the same question.  As of the last couple of weeks, the system has "thought" of this as only a quick trade (because of an indicator had turned positive).  So without revealing too much, has this indicator reversed (meaning this could be a swing short), or will it soon sell on another market drop.

I didn't assume there was a trade, I was asking for an opinion about the possibility of the system exiting today base on his earlier comment about a move lower on that day. Just trying to plan for some of these exits...some brokers wont let you trade after hours. An Update after a severe draw down isn't unreasonable to expect.

    I didn't say your question

I didn't say your question was unreasonable but if you think about what you asked that is already what we do.  So if we deemed there was a "possibility of the system exiting today" then we would have sent an alert.

Now going forward today with what looks to be a large gap down morning I would say that the odds of the system covering all shorts at the close is very high.  After the open we will have a better gauge of price ranges as well as what certain holding indicators are saying and if they are deciding to hold the short longer or not.  About an hour after the open I will take a look at the system and if I can send the alert then to give people time to prepare I will, if there is still some uncertainty then I will just post on the board an update.
