Hello and good afternoon everyone, this is an update to the
BPGDM/GDX swing system.
Per my intra day scan, it appears that the BPGDM will be
crossing back below the 8 day MA today for a sell signal.
Thus the GDX system will be closing out the long trade
established last week on Mar 23rd and going short today at the
close. The trade will be for a minor loss again. I will
update the page later this evening.
The system has been very whippy lately, the last two trades were
losing trades, so this will make 3 in a row. Hopefully the
system will turn around here. You can either follow the
system or trade via discretionary analysis such as using our 60 min
GDX charts, it's your choice.
I have some ideas that I would like to investigate in order to
improve the system, however I am currently working on a bigger
project which you will soon see in the next couple weeks.
One thing to point out is that the BPGDM is unchanged today at
18 stocks on P&F buy signals, the same as yesterday. What
has changed is the 8 day MA. I've seen this before.
But here's what bugs me, Stockcharts.com shows that the BPGDM
was 66.67% on Mar 28th; with 30 components, that means 20 stocks
out of 30 would be on P&S buy signals i.e. 20/30 = 66.6667
However in stockcharts.com when I manually look at at all 30
stock components from Mar 28th, I count only 19 of them on P&S
buy signals? I don't see how the hell they got 20?
Anyway will be nice to finally look at some other ideas that
I have for this system.
