    Oooh, never ask a graphic

Posted by baker on 11th of Feb 2011 at 11:20 pm

Oooh, never ask a graphic designer that question - I can't help myself...

Okay, the background gray could be a tad darker, the contrast will get lost between that and the white of the content area for folks who have their monitors set on the bright side, which tends to be a lot of people.

The headers in the rotating graphics ( Market Lab, Long-term Tools, etc) looks very nice. Great color choices and type style.  The smaller text underneath is fuzzy and hard to read - if you're using photoshop or gimp there is a text setting to tweak that, or consider a different type face, the letter spacing is also set a little tight which is contributing to readability issues.

Using rounded edge boxes is a nice touch, and expanding that to some of the older graphics you are incorporating will help merge the two looks.

Nice job! Clean, nice images, lots of good info right up front.
