I think I stopped saying that in 2014.  ;-)

ACB Aurora Cannabis breaking out, gapped up +12% to $11.  Posted this on on Monday.  Would like to see some volume behind it.  Symmetry target around $18.50 which is also previous resistance.

I have FCEL in my on-deck circle but pushed it down the list a little due to negative divergence on the MACD.  If I were in it, I'd likely hold; but since I'm not, I'm waiting to see how the wedge plays out.

Looks like I might be the only guy bringing a knife to a gunfight.  Got these for Christmas.  Make food prep fun, and go well with my Shun set.  If we descend into all-out anarchy, I'm going to do my best to play Switzerland; why take sides?  I figure everyone has to eat, so will put my skills to use there. :-D

Stopped out of BITW, but letting RIOT run has worked out well.  Will likely take rest of profits on that today and revisit in new year.

Thanks, noted.  Not looking for a long-term hold on this, just a quick bounce.

Looks like a nice, well-formed c&h on ETHE as well.

Been holding GDXJ for a while.  Would like to see it wake up soon and move out of downtrend channel dating back to August (which looks to be the handle on a multi-year c&h pattern).

Took a small position in BITW at $62.50.  Stop just below lower support line.

This has been my best

This has been my best trade of the year, but also the riskiest.  Relatively small position to fit my risk appetite, but obviously a big mover.  Took some profits, moved up stops.  Leaving some to run, but on a tight leash given how frothy crypto is and how much it can move overnight.  Hard position to manage as a day-job swing-trader.

Been on BPT since '07

Been on BPT since '07 - always great, always improving.  I've come and gone as a subscriber, but have been a steady consumer of the free newsletter for over a decade.  Rejoined as paid member this year as my work travel went from 250,000 miles a year to pretty much 0 and I had time to focus on trading.

Big THANKS to Matt and Steve - can't imagine the work it takes to manage your own trading while running this place, daily and weekend newsletters, etc.  Truly impressive.  Most importantly, the quality of your work gives us that all-important edge in managing trades.

Also a Thank You to some of the members here who not only post good setups/charts, but explain their thesis which helps immensely.  I've benefited nicely from several setups posted by community members this year.

Merry Christmas, everyone.  And here's to slightly less bonkers 2021!

Yes, noted.  It's a trust not an ETF.  Matt covered it well.  Apologies for the loose terminology.

GBTC should be accessible via a brokerage as its an ETF.  Most of the ones that Matt listed below with charts are available via Fidelity, TD Ameritrade.  I didn't confirm Schwab but would expect they do as well.  For actual bitcoin, you'll need to check out coinbase or similar.

Been long WTI since Nov

Posted by rjdst on 10th of Dec 2020 at 10:29 am

Been long WTI since Nov 30th.  Added more yesterday on the pullback to 9 ema.  Someone poked it with a cattle prod today...  Holding as a swing trade.

Increasing bullishness around platinum.  A site I follow has posted a bit on it recently.  I'm long a couple of these here.  This was my summary, fwiw, that I posted elsewhere over the weekend.

Been researching precious and industrial metals for a couple of weeks, mostly relating to battery production. My $0.02 on platinum - agree that it's looking very good long term. As far as entry, looking at  daily charts of the ones on my watchlist, most look in need of a near-term rest for good objective entry:

PLG; +24% on Friday; looks overbought
PLTM:  hanging man candle on Friday
PPLT:  doji on Friday
PGM:  big red candle
SBSW:  less frothy than the others; bounced off resistance and maybe heading down to 9EMA
SPPP:  maybe the best of the bunch for near-term entry; found support at middle BB, now at resistance.
VALE:  parabolic

Then again, with this market, parabolic and +24% don't necessarily rule out good entries.
