When a headline is this catchy, first assumption should be that
it is bullshit.
Ford
lightning buyers
already
receive the $7500 credit. The
causes of the price increase are likely twofold:
1) If your product has 100s of thousands of reservations,
you can probably charge more.
2) To qualify for the new $7500 credit, a significant amount of
the batteries in EVs have to be built in the US and materials
sourced either from the US or from free-trade allies. That’ll be
more expensive, but worth it to decouple us from China, hence the
credit to offset it.
The truth is almost all EVs will NOT be eligible for the new tax
credit at first. Lots of supply chains to move around.

I'm aware... that's why I linked the table showing the SPY
system statistics. Since I can't find one for the ES systems under
'system statistics' or 'es trades', I am asking
if they have or can make a backtested-statistics table for
the ES systems.

TSLA put credit spreads leading into earnings were too tempting
to ignore. Opened some 800/790 spreads (just under the 200ma)
expiring in two days. As of now, it looks like a quick 8% play.
Does anyone have thoughts on using far OTM put credit spreads for
earnings? Even at 750/740 strikes, the return
could be 2%. Seems like a nice strategy to keep in
the toolbox.

Matt- maybe a bizarre question, but have you considered
backtesting the SPY systems on something like bitcoin? I was
considering buying when it was near $30k but wasn't confident
enough. Something like that would be super helpful!

Friendly reminder that the FED is run by largely non-partisan
economists equipped with the best monetary tools, economics
educations, and data collection in all of human history. That's not
to say we won't face consequences because of the current course of
action- we will. But, if the FED tightened monetary policy, you can
be certain there would be even more consequences. The FED is ALWAYS
choosing between unemployment and inflation. Personally, I'd rather
tolerate a few years of 3-5% inflation than have years of 8 %
unemployment.
