Friendly reminder that the FED is run by largely non-partisan
economists equipped with the best monetary tools, economics
educations, and data collection in all of human history. That's not
to say we won't face consequences because of the current course of
action- we will. But, if the FED tightened monetary policy, you can
be certain there would be even more consequences. The FED is ALWAYS
choosing between unemployment and inflation. Personally, I'd rather
tolerate a few years of 3-5% inflation than have years of 8 %
unemployment.
yeah well historically the FED has always been like turning a
barge, generally reacts late
as far as the Fed cozy with current admin, yes it is, but also
seemed under Trump too. Basically they get cozy with every
admin.
The fed chairman that had some balls was back in the early 80s,
did what needed to be done vs worrying about the political
wind.
and it can be argued that the stock market would not be here if
not for the Fed over the last 10 plus years. would SPX be 1000,
1500, 2000 points lower? The problem there is, it's now hard to
take away the heroin without convulsions now - the market is too
addicted.
it's all one grand experiment what the FED has been doing

Guy Adami made a good point about that on Fast Money yesterday.
Hard to call the Fed non partisan anymore now that the rotation
from Fed to Treasury has established what seems like a very cozy
relationship between the two. Not designed to be llike
this...IMO

Perhaps they are moronic. I could care less. But Powell has been
at this long before 2021 rolled around. This kind of political
comment is gratuitous and has nothing to do with trading.
