Many 401k's are limited with respect to investments. May only be
a number of mutual funds or etf's. If that is the case, find one
that replicates the index, probably S&P 500.

Had a small spy position that I had held for a few days and sold
just before that furious rally into the close. Finally gave up the

Does anyone have thoughts on the best way to screen for stock
buys. Fundamentals really have little value and technical's have
some many variables to screen from. Any thoughts on the best place
to screen and the best technical's to screen from such as
crossovers, rsi changes, candlestick patters, etc? Just struggling
with creating watchlists outside of the one here at BT.

Thanks Matt, I didn't take a large position to start so I
did sell. I will keep monitoring though as I think we do have
further upside longer term. With price being at the 20 week MA,
that will serve as some resistance as well.

I learned a valuable lesson this week. I took the AAPL long
alert and since I was busy, just went with it. After the fact,
looked closer at the charts. Probably would not have taken it.
Moral of the story is to do my own due diligence which I know Matt
and Steve continually advocate. Will not forget this.......at least
until next time.

Time to take profits? That pattern can easily lead to a reversal can't it? On the weekly charts the upper BB is at 18ish.

Hi Matt,
Any thoughts on why the SPY system has stayed flat through this little run? Not being derogatory here, just curious as to your thoughts.

It would be hard to convince me that this market is not controlled almost entirely by algorithmic computer trading.
