I bought last week also, when it was testing the 9 EMA.

I'm still holding, but moved my stop up to 50% of today's range. That's my style of trading.

FIGO,

Not yet. According to Gary Savage the last daily cycle low is 79.56.

I wonder if you are using the closing low for that day instead of the intraday low.

4th entry results

Posted by mcheberger on 3rd of Aug 2011 at 01:39 pm

Contrary to common belief on this board they have not been 100% profitable.

According to the trade history for multi-entry trades there have been 16 4th entries, including the latest one in June.

15 out of 16 have been profitable.

The one loser was a buy on 4/3/02 at 113.14. It sold for a loss on 4/11/02 at 112.89.

I wouldn't go ALL IN with ATM August calls, in case that's what some of you were thinking to do ;)

Entries/Exits

Posted by mcheberger on 2nd of May 2011 at 06:16 pm

Matt, you show published statistics on the SPY that shows it's more profitable to enter Longs at the close of the same day and exit them on the open of the next day.

Why wouldn't the same principle apply to entering Shorts on the open of the next day instead of the close of the same day?
