Might this be a good buy at the bottom of the gap?

Cypress Semiconductor has had an impressive move in the last two days, about 15%. Matt or Steve, does the chart tell you anything about whether it will keep moving up?

Dan Fitzpatrick gave an interesting free video today on Millicom (MICC). Basically, he says it's popped from great earnings, but it has further to go, perhaps after a pullback or quick revisit down to $100. Longer term swing trade.

Ugh, he shows gaps as "N/A" when providing pattern rankings.

Can anyone "fill me in" on gaps and the odds of closing completely once entered?

GDX started to fill the gap an hour or so ago. I had thought of exiting my position and waiting until near the bottom of the gap, but didn't because I'm just not that familiar w/ gap fills. Once a stock enters a gap is it typically filled during that session or perhaps over the next day? GDX isn't cleanly dropping to the bottom, but bouncing around in the top half of the gap. Trying learn....

Matt, how does the GDX:GLD ratio on the 60 min chart figure in this discussion? I've been using that and it has been a help to avoid some whipsaws and to gain better entry points. But I haven't done the longer term research so I don't know if it works long term.
