I am looking for it to take out 106  to enter long.  what are your thoughts.

XIV is inverse instrument to track VIX.  When VIX goes up you want VXX or UVXY  when vix goes down you want XIV, SVXY.  Currently I am long UVXY.  VIX is testing its 200 dma once again.  I have found that a close and hold above this generally leads to larger spike in VIX so not a good time to by XIV.

What about 1994,1997, 1998, 2015 how far above ma where we during those time.  Looking at the chart we could also have a run away bull like the one from 1994,95 lows to 2001.  What do you think?

yes I picked it up on way up at 78.00  have 10% traling stop.  So easy it scares me.

FNMA 3.00 was an important resistance it is now support. we are breaking out of a massive inverse head shoulders formation.  could see 4.00 soon. $FNMA

Yes been watching for sometime but never bought into it.

I use XIV/SPY divergent model to Spot tops in SPY.  it has short history only going back to 2011 but has been right each of the past 6 times and currently I am on look out for another signal as XIV lags SPY break out to new highs.  Each time after the signal SPY has correct to at least its 200 DMA.

does this look like it wants to push down one more time?  Or are you going for Long here.

I am in this all the way from 5.48.  this is my value play biotech looking for 40+ in 2yrs.
