Yes, very true Steve. I work a day job and I am crazy busy
right now so I not able to read the blog during the day, let alone
post anything. I would assume there are many others in the
same boat as myself. I check in when I can and I always
appreciate all the great information that is
posted.
For those who day trade, this blog is golden (I've been a
regular lurker when work has been slow)
I'm so with you Deb, I had some good deep belly laughs
during the first bit. There were some good zingers.
No worries Matt, there will always be bugs the first
time you try something like this out. Once you have all the
bugs worked out, the occasional webinar will be a fantastic
learning tool for all of us!

So looking at the BGU, it took over 100 trades to make 5% (not
sure if I am looking at it correctly)? Looking at the
profit curve for SSO that you posted on Friday, about 30% was made
in under 100 trades. How many weeks/months to generate the
100 trades (I guess the proper question is how long back do these
results reflect)? Thanks.

I manage a microbiology lab and there are 7 people in my dept
including myself. Four have just bought homes in the last few
months (three are first time buyers and one is upgrading). My
husband and I were also looking to upgrade from our tiny two
bedroom which would have made us #5 out of 7 but we're planning on
holding tight for now cause things are so crazy (no way we are
going to walk into these bidding wars)!
I totally agree mvachon, if a five year rate goes up even a
couple of percentage points by the time people have to renew in 5
years and with the way people have totally stretched themselves
right now, things have got to cool down the road. Nobody is
talking seriously about there being a bubble but the signs seem
like they are there in Toronto (I don't think it has been quite as
crazy outside of the city). Maybe things will cool after the
summer but who knows.

I'm just going to put my two cent in on this one. I live
in Toronto and my husband and I are looking to upgrade to a house
from our townhouse condo. We aren't in a hurry so we have
just been casually going to open houses in the neighbourhoods we
are thinking of moving to.
There are serious bidding wars going on and all the houses we
have looked at have been sold in 24 hours from when offers are
being taken, going for way more than the asking price. My
cousin put her house on the market and she sold it in 8
hours. There is definitely a frantic feeling in the
air. The open houses we've been too have been "tense" with
most people bringing their agents in tow.
I personally think it is because of the low rates and because of
all the taxes and rules that are going to be coming into
effect.
We are just going to sit tight for now. I could never
stomach bidding $100,000 more for a place. If space really
becomes an issue (when we have our 2nd kid down the road), we'll
rent out our place and then rent a separate place for
ourselves. I refuse to be part of a bidding war.

Hi Matt, when the long term indicator does produce a buy
or sell (I know you mentioned it only happened about once a year),
do you think you could send out a special e-mail letting everyone
know?
Some days/weeks I am able to check into BPT many times and
listen to every update and other times I am too busy with work and
family. If the signal only happens very rarely, I would hate
to miss it for some reason.

Matt, a little while back you mentioned about putting a wave
count on the Stocastics. Does this looking like the 5th wave
on the regular Sto or am I way off?

Hi Rank,
Would you be able to post the stats for the 1st VXX system you
created? I'm having problems downloading more than a month's
worth of VXX data from IB into Ninja for some reason. Thanks
for all your great ideas!
Posted by sporopat on 11th of Jan 2010 at 03:37 pm
Hi Matt - These ones were popular recommendations by BPT's back
in Mar- June and I made some quick bucks with them. Perhaps
they are getting ready to pop again as well? COIN looks like
it has amazing volume today. Whatcha think?

Oh Matt that is awesome!!!!! That's perfect for us
Canadians that are very limited in what/who we can use!!!
Whenever you have made mentions about the store you will be setting
up, it bummed me out a bit because I felt like I would be missing
out....but this is awesome news!!!! I am really looking
forward to it!!

Thank you for sharing Rank. It looks pretty
interesting! I spent yesterday trying to figure out how to
code the breakeven parameter in Ninja using the Ninjatrader help
blog and I think I figured it out (I'm not too good with creating
strategies outside of the wizard). If anything, that will be
a good bit of code to apply to strategies in the future.
Thanks again!
