SSO or BPSPX?  did you try the search on the blog? use key works, works great.  I don't recall ever posting SSO as a renko so I put in SSO and renko and my name in the search.

USE THE SEARCH guys, Steve and I use it all the time to find stuff from years ago. I think most of you have never used it or use it, it works great.  again use a key work or several key words and put in a username, that limits the results a lot. And you can even search by date range if you have a rough idea of when a post might have been that you are looking for

anyway here's the keyword search for terms SSO Renko under matt

BPSPX Renko observation

Posted by matt on 29th of Jan 2019 at 10:23 am

$BPSPX - Chart Link- I noticed that these Bullish Percent charts now update intra day, they previous didn't' update until about 1 hr after the market close. That's good because while I show the price levels for SSO where the BPSPX gave buy and sell signals, those are at the close of the day.  While there were some monster trades there, the biggest whipsaw was the Nov 28th long at 111.76 to Dec 6th sell at 107.98.  HOWEVER that's as of the close, intra day BPSPSX would have likely appeared as a sell around 111 or so, far far better.

anyway just following up that they update intra day

again I just use a 1 box size to avoid any curve fitting.  Plus the bullish percent charts can only theoretically go from 0-100 so 1 equals 1% and seems like a good fit.  I could probably get a better curve by trying odd numbers like 1.25 or 1.5 (you can do that if you wish), however I just wanted to keep it simple and use 1

BPSPX Renko

$BPSPX - Chart Link - I showed this chart on the weekend, did the numbers, with the market volatility some nice signals on that - I added to the chart. obviously some whipsaws but last signal went long on Dec 28th SSO 91.5, great price there

I've looked a slew of

$BPSPX?

I've looked a slew of Bullish Percent charts, for whatever reason the BPGDM works the best.

However I just quickly put together a 2 point renko chart on the BPSPX, I placed the price of SSO for each signal.

it produces trends, and some whipsaws.

BPGDM GDX system

Posted by matt on 27th of Sep 2012 at 11:50 am

trade them how you see fit, the BPGDM system uses a bullish % chart which is useful in itself, the GDX Renko is Renko totally different.

we present these for information purposes and clearly one could use the other at times AND other things like entry day charts or indicators to verify a trade or skip or delay a trade

for example the BPGDM, when it hit 7% in July, that was screaming oversold, I was going to add a rule to ignore the 13.5% target when it get's that ovessold or only take 1/2 profits.  I trade the systems but I vary from the trades quite a bit, sometimes I don't do the trades, sometimes I sell early.  we present these as guidelines

SPX 5 min and 30 min renko

Posted by matt on 31st of Jan 2011 at 12:10 pm

$SPX 30 min renko

$SPX 5 min

Produce a nice bounce from the small bottoming pattern on the 5 min.  the 30 min renko chart of course gave a nice entry.  SSO or ES was an easy play

otherwise guys, as far as individual trade setups, it's Slim Pickings out there, there is just not many good objective trade setups at this time

Gold Stocks - GDX Update and charts

Posted by matt on 20th of Apr 2010 at 03:24 pm

Here's two GDX charts that I talked about yesterday.

The 30 min Renko chart is still on a sell signal and never gave a buy signal, it had one up candle, but needed to and a crossover of the Parabolic SAR.

The 60 min GDX chart is still in that downtrend channel, the GDX/GLD ratio is still trending down for now. The positive thing is that the 60 period stochastics crossed up over 20%, but the price needs to go up now.

Both of these charts are in the Sticky Blog post that contains the dynamic links

SSO Renko

For those of you who have Tradestation or Multicharts, a 0.10 box size works well for SSO, here's a chart example
