Social Security

Headlines in many reports today were misleading.

Cost of Living went down last year, so of course there is no increase in Social Security this year!  Logically, there should be a decrease, to stay proportionate to cost-of-living decrease.  But SS will not do that.  It will stay the same.  So SS recipients will be doing better than just getting the usual cost-of-living adjustment.  They will be receiving morethan what a cost-of-living adjustment would have been.

You cannot convince me that day to day living costs have gone down in the past year. House values have dropped YES but day to day living has done nothing but increase. Please evryone, raise your hand if your utility bills, gasoline bills, food bills, repair bills, and more have gone DOWN. Maybe gasoline nudged back a bit from all time high but it's still almost 3 bucks a gal where I live. They are going to give the extra money to the seniors to try and win them back onto the TEAM.

Do you really believe the cost of living went down? Are you paying less for things now than you did last year? Of course not! The COLA is based on figures from the BLS which are totally fraudulent and contrived. Any here not eat or use fuel in their vehicles? Those figures are excluded in the COLA numbers calculated by the BLS.
