A VERY bullish report. Margins up to 51%. Maybe there will be
something in the call, or perhaps analysts will find issues, but at
first blush this really is a blow-out report vs expectations. I
think it's a much more important report than Goldman, because
everyone understands that Goldman's numbers have noting to do with
any improvement in the economy -- they were manufactured by
government intervention and a prop trading desk. For the moment,
this Intel report should put the bulls in control. See that it's
trading again -- up 9%.
INTC's results will put a halo over all of tech while GS's
results were specific to them b/c they are basically a hedge fund,
not a bank (though I think JPM will have nice #s).
Yesterday was just too strong. Bears need to step aside
for next few weeks. Maybe I'll catch SRS with a 17 handle
friday!
INTC great quarter was due to China. Of course this is due to
stimulus so we have to observe and how long it is sustained.
Netbooks bring lower revenue to MSFT and INTC as everyone is
downsizing their purchases to smaller, less expensive versions of
what used to be purchased.

you are right - follow the trend - just don't follow it
over the edge of the cliff! In other words don't get too
greedy! Easier to say than do, but try to decide when to take
profits or maybe take 1/2 and move stops up. Just my own thoughts.
If you've caught some nice moves - well done! Enjoy!

Intel Q2 EPS $0.18 Ex-Items Vs $0.08 Estimate.
Also a draw down on inventories, which is very bullish.
The Q's are up $0.67 so far

You're right, as INTC's ER is very bullish.
I still don't get where they sell their products, as North America and Europe are in deep recessions. I would guess that it's mostly due to the BRIC.
We are witnessing some very interesting times....

They make the "atom" processors for Netbooks I think and they are flying off the shelves at my Costco.
