well all it means is that the SSO system is triggered for a
Short. it will either work and be a winning trade or it
won't. I know that's pretty blunt, but it's that simple. If
you are trading the system then stick to it, if you are
discretionary trading, then stick to that.
The other systems have triggered but not the SRS systems because
they were Long yesterday
my question was was more in the lines of whether the 3 SSO
systems crossing more or less within a tight timeframe, whether it
also gives you a kind of a strong signal in one particular
direction...

I would say it's more about folks not wanting to trade the
systems as systems but instead trying to justify trade signals from
the systems - when they feel like it. The systems don't trade as
you would trade based on TA - so you either trade 'em or not. As
Matt says - "it's that simple."
yep. jtverr -- not being
argumentative, really -- I'd seriously like to know how you use the
systems as a tool? my experience is that they're not very
good indicators of anything. The entries are usually not ones
you would choose with technical analysis. Once in a while a
MA cross happens in conjunction with a trendline, or extended
stochastics or a triangle breakout -- but that's the exception
rather than the rule. They just work by
statistics. And I'd be willing to bet that if you trade a
system andf filter it however you want -- choosing trades -- that
you do not do as well as taking every trade.
Probably when the 3 systems give a signal on the same direction
on a short period of time, the statistics should improve if I
remember my university math...funny thing is the technicals
pointing on a different direction in terms of probable technical
scenarios...
