GM all,
I apologize in advance for this simple question. I reviewed
many examples from the daily newsletter PDFs and community messages
but I still don’t understand the guideline: “DZ forms when a BOS
occurs and then you revert back to the origin of the move”
1. BOS in an uptrend is at a HH (516.2 in the post) that is
followed by a LH (three candles to the right if the HH in the
post) - is that correct?
2. What is “the move” (which candle) we look to revert
to?
3. Will every BOS create a DZ (clearly no, but why?)?
4. what is the rationale for such a DZ creation? The best I
can surmise is that: a. Price tried to change direction - hence the
BOS). b. The price continued original trend - hence it is a place
with buyers (I.e. demand zone liquidity).
- however, that sounds like any consolidation will be
a DZ (which is clearly not true). So what makes a DZ different from
consolidation zone or support zone?
thanks for your patience and I would appreciate any insight
you can provide.

Honestly , I viewed these and some more detailed daily
newsletter explaining the difference between support and DZ. I
still do not get it.
None of the DZ upper/lower in the example match low/high of any
of the previous candles, so how were these lines decided? I
am sure it something simple but I do not see it. Oh well, another
blackbox.

Look at my 2 posts today on different times frames with purple
boxes drawn. It's not an exact science...just get away from
an a horizontal line....because...it's not an exact science.
A rectangular box will serve you well.
Another way to look at it is that the "zone" is simply
traders admitting that TA is not an exact science. They got sick of
explaining failures so they created zones

But it does not make sense here. Is the BOS 309.52 or 253.43? If
the former why is not the 191.15 the revert candle? If the latter
why is not the 193.91 the revert candle (and DZ)?
Eddie - please use the search function above for numerous
examples and explanations - I have also discussed in many
newsletters and will be doing so again so make SURE YOU LISTEN TO
EVERY NEWSLETTER.

Supply/demand zones - how to identify?

Good advice. The zones make sense once drawn. I guess approximation is better than worrying about the exact procedure. Thanks!
Thanks!

It sounds to me, and I am likely wrong, like any LL/LH candle in an uptrend would create a DZ (albeit weak ones).
It might make sense if you build weekly DZ that way and use them on a daily chart to reduce clatter. But likely I am missing something again.

That is why I was hesitant about posting. You seem to assume I didn’t put in the effort . I spent several hours pouring over examples to no avail.
