true and people addicted to Tiktok, but iphone, I ike their
hardware, I just hate all the petty crap to keep you in that
ecosystem, even peer pressure
my daughter has my old folding phone an Android, and her friends
give her shit all the time because of the green bubble thing AAPL
shows for text messages, - it's like you are not part of the group,
peer pressure to get an iphone to fit in - the kids do AAPL's work
for them. At least my daughter is like me too independent to get
pushed into an iphone just because her friends say something. Heck
my brothers, do that with me too - they are all iphone, Matt when
are you going to get an iphone? LOL because you guys said that, now
I'm even less likely too LOL

Even CNBC and YouTube commentators are brainwashed about AAPL. I
heard both CNBC and the YouTube channel I watch during the trading
days make essentially the same comments about the antitrust lawsuit
last week - they literally think that Android phones aren't as
capable and that's why the video is tiny and grainy when it comes
to them from android phones and why they can't have bubbles or
secure messaging with those users. Lol. So brainwashed - but
obviously brilliant that the AAPL marketing team is able to keep
the wool over so many eyes. That move belongs in the pantheon
of marketing tricks.

What’s still incredible to me is the Pixel phone is but 2% of US
market share. How do they get that to 5%? Will they ever move the
needle. It must be very frustrating to them—all the resources they
pump in to it year after year.

I get the newest Pixel everytime it comes out for probably 4
cycles now. They have some issues, but I actually tried to go
back to a flagship Samsung and ended up returning it for another
Pixel....I can't stand all the bloatware that comes with all the
non Pixel phones - it drives me crazy and it often can't be
uninstalled.

Very true. I was building computers from scratch in the 80's and
90's and am a tech nerd to this day. I even got my MCSE when I left
the Navy Bomb squad and before CFP (my resume is wacky) but I
haven't worked in a data center environment in 25 years. I
personally can't stand Iphones or Apple products. They are locked
down for people that like adjusting settings and the quality is
more aesthetic than functional, in my opinion (think back to the 1
button mouse days and the crappy see through speakers...but they
looked cool so they got the cool crowd).
